Perfect start to the year 💪🏻🇬🇧

Gordon Campbell

Long kicks from our goal kicks nullified their decent press

John Smith

It’s a beautiful day and I just can’t stop myself from smiling 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

John Smith

Playing out from the back is overrated. Never underestimate or disrespect a good old fashioned big punt up the park

David Innes

I thought we had a chance of getting something today but did not see that performance coming - pretty clear evidence the players are still behind the manager. Now they need to back it up by smashing Hibs.

Alan Weir

Sixty first year on the planet and, still, giving that mob a wee tonkin’ brings a smile to the face and a spring in the step😊

Jim Milne

Enjoy that everyone. We all deserve to enjoy this result. That armband has to stay on Raskin. He's been superb since he came back. Score aside, another shocking referee performance. Booking Raskin and not McGregor because he'd have to send him off was a disgrace, yet not unexpected.

Jim Milne

Oh, and to the idiot who threw the coin you've just given them more ammunition to keep away fans out of this fixture. Probably no chance of booze before games like this either. Ban them for life. What the F goes through people's minds?

John Davidson

Great win today - and it was my first ever Old Firm game too. The random performance generator strikes again!

John Smith

Must admit I thought Hagi deserved it (I still think he could get it) but Raskin really did prove today he’s got the minerals for the job 👍

Scott Gallacher

Actually scored from a corner kick !! Enjoyed all of that.

KAD87

Don’t care what anyone says. The manager deserves time. This team has something and if we build our squad we can get there.

John Smith

It’s remarkable how they go from zero to a hundred. They’re never just average

Simon Botterill

Captain position and choice.... Finally finally PC gets this, the importance of this is huge in Scottish football. Well played all, thought Kelly also was excellent in tone, leadership and what is required in Scottish football. Raskin press conference already shows he is more qualified, he speaks the truth in a calm manner on Robertson nonsense.

Brian

Great result today will never give 👍 👌 up wee have the whole of January for transfer window I am sure rangers have been in further behind in the league of 11 points and won the league 👍 Great show 👍

Jim McCutcheon

Oh so sweet victory ✌️ excellent performances all round👏 let's enjoy this one and take it forward please ❤️🤍💙, thanks guys happy tonight 😀

John Smith

In fact I’ve just seen the Glasgow Tims front page online and have a guess what they’ve lead with 🙄

Robert White

Its worth considering Kelly as a specialist whennwe face a high constant press- his passing is far superior to most goalies and retains the ball so much better. The number of chances we created was fantastic.

KennyY

Said it before but our first 11 can beat anyone on their day. Poor results are down to the lack of quality replacements in our squad. They aren’t on our manager imo. Hoping that the usual suspects can now try and support and show patience rather than steaming in demanding the managers head every time we don’t win when first 11 players aren’t available.

Gary Shaw

RAGING……………….That it wasn’t 6-0 but I’ll take it.

Spoon

Credit to the players for digging out a cracking result today, well deserved victory. Raskin outstanding. Thkught Jefte was excellent and despite recent criticism Bajrami nullified McGregor and some of his link up was sublime. They clearly expected this to be much easier than it was and it either rattled them or just maybe it’s a dip in form that might just unsettle them. The downside for me if there is one is that Igamane was really not in the game, I just don’t get this solo striker set up. Credit on the day to those who took their chances but largely they were moments of quality rather than carved out chances and for large periods the 9 was in the wilderness as we have see. I the various personnel used the same way all season. It did click for the team today, defensively solid, monsters in midfield and the attackers took their chances chances clinically when they came around but I don’t know we did anything earth shattering lay differently, it just worked this time. On its own a great days work, in the campaign unfortunately it doesn’t change much and I still have doubt this set up will produce enough regularly enough. Happy to credit the team for their efforts but those looking to validate Clement from it, not sure what you saw that was new bar the score. Might seem harsh but if you think a corner was turned what was different tactically or set up wise that made us night and day from Fir Park. The players absolutely played to their potential and I enjoyed lots of the build up but we didn’t carve them open and our delivery into the box from open and set plays remains pretty poor.

Andy MacArthur

Raskin, Diomande, Jefte and Igmamane are a really strong foundation on which to build this team. Hagi playing like a leader on the park too. If we can sort out defence, add some more quality up top then we can be a really good team. The cup final and today reminds me of Gerrard when he sussed out Lennons Celtic. We got into thier head and they started to hate playing us - I’m hoping this team can follow that trend.

Hendi

What a shift from Bajrami again, take McGregor out the game and they're nothing. Outstanding performance from almost every man in the team.

William Ross

A very welcome and unexpected result which I will savour. However Don Robertson today - an utterly disgraceful performance from him again - its not just he is a poor official - he is selectively applying the rules

Stan Templeton

Referee was yet again very poor. And I have to ask - where the actual f*** has that Rangers been domestically? With such a cobbled together team, we were at it from the off. Fully deserved winners & possibly should've been a bigger scoreline. As a more than subtle aside, the officials again were atrocious. We should be shouting from the rooftops about some of the (non) desicions today.

Simon Botterill

They are absolutely appalling but today we had someone trying to look after us in Raskin. On and off the pitch it has to be a defiant and measured attack on the officiating. We are not a bad team as proven today and in Europe, our Scottish league game management and strategy has been negligent.

Alexander Bruce Crombie

Had to work today and wasn’t bothered in the slightest about missing it!!! Who would have thought we’d get a result WATP

Douglas Gilligan

Sounds like Cammy has either got the lurgae, has been doing a power of singing or both. 😀 Well done lads, another great pod and delighted for the belief dishing out that battering will give our players.

Tom

Peter Grant's face on Sportscene😂😂 what a sight, absolute chefs kiss👨🏻‍🍳😘

David Kiltie

When Jefte was penalized for fouling Kuhn, there was only about 20 seconds of the 2 minutes stoppage time left. Once Kuhn had received his treatment I reckon there was a full two minutes of play before the HT whistle. Am I remembering correctly?

David Kiltie

If Raskin was deserving of a yellow for the HT fracas then McGregor should have been off. Robertson chickened out of it.

Gary Shaw

Two wrongs don’t make a right but every time we’re at Parkhead that Green Brigade mob launch all sorts of shit

Jim Milne

Whilst you're 100% correct Gary that isn't the narrative in the media or the SFA & SPFL. Immediately after the coin throw the commentary comments amounted to wasn't that long ago Joe Hart's goal was covered in glass, and Aberdeen threw vodka bottles at dugouts just a few days ago. Now it's in the media that coins were thrown at Rogers too. If we are going to beat them, we need to beat them on and off the pitch and be better in the stands too.

Jim Milne

Also with teams constantly used to defending presses, like today they struggle with a long diagonal ball up to a strong forward like Igamane who can hold it up for a fast winger like Cérny. As long as every ball isn't a long ball I have no problem with the goalie making long kicks to get us up the park. Kelly's distribution apart from one kick, and even then it caused no problems was superb.

Graham Hendry

Could you please refer to them as ‘them’? Thank you

Jim Milne

Kudos to Nico Raskin after the game. He's given an interview about Don Robertson's comments just after he booked him. Claimed Robertson told him " he didn't see the incident properly". 🤔 He's acting like a Rangers captain on and off the field, after just one game with the armband.

William Hughes

Brilliant team performance. Loved it. BTW is that Johnston a protective species in this fixture. Guy gets away with everything.

Greg Cameron

Said it for months despite the shocking away performances that we definitely have the guts of a good team that needs some more additions . Superb today, more please starting with these cunts on Sunday !

Brian

Cammy take carei, hopefully fulling better soon

Hendi

Also thought we took him out the game a wee bit differently today than cup final. At Cup final it looked like Bajrami just shadowed him, but that meant McGregor could at times pull Bajrami out of position following him. Today a lot of the time he took him out the game by blocking the path to him, rather than simply marking him. Then when the ball went forward any path back to McGregor was shut down by Dio and others. Meant Bajrami was also in a good position to attack when we won the ball back. A lot of foreign internationals wouldn't be as disciplined and willing to sacrifice so much of their own game to stop an opponent, so fair play to him.

Dougie

HAPPY NEW YEAR and thank you for all the Carpods in 2024! You guys deserve this one ❤️🤍💙

Gary Shaw

I know what you’re saying Jim but I’m not taking morality lessons from anyone of a green persuasion….The fan in question is an idiot and should face the consequences but that lot couldn’t give themselves a brass neck with a blowtorch.

Jim Milne

We are 100% on the same page mate, I just hate seeing them controlling the narrative. They've already forced us to build and buy nets for the corner. Now the argument will be they need the entire broomloan because nowhere is safe. I just hate giving them an inch in anything.

Allan Osborne

3-0 going on 5 or 6, and well deserved. It's not our first league win in 3 years btw, we won 3-0 in May 2023 (still too long ago). Here's hoping we can build on this. Well done Rangers!

Colin Simpson

After this fantastic result I really have no idea where Iam with this team, individual players or the manager Jekyll and Hyde to the extreme

Bobby

Sitting in the broomloam , Liam Kelly going absolutely mental with the second half goals going in !! True blue 💙

Graham Ross

Smarmy Bastard Brendan Rodgers :-)

Martin Sutherland

You are correct. The set up worked because Celtic are a ball dominant side. We surrendered possession and countered. He doesn’t have an answer when we given all the ball and asked to break sides down.

Jim Milne

Our home form is now the best in the league. It's the away form that's killing us. I'll say this much Clement takes his time to learn when he fucks up, but he does learn so hopefully 6pts at Easter Rd and Dens Park shows that. Problem is it's hard to get excited, because the last few years is all about going on runs when no pressure. A win at Parkhead is the next goal. They've got the biggest tbudget in the league and we blew them away. Most shots on goal ever against them. I think under Rogers but I did hear the stat on TV.

Nikky Cairney

Gave the manager lots of criticism lately and deservedly so. But he hit everything spot on today so credit where it’s due. Nico Raskin was everything I want in a Rangers captain today. Reminded me of a Barry Ferguson type performance against them. Absolutely no respect for them at all. Need to build on this now. No use beating them and dropping points at Hibs or Dundee. This has to be the start of a long run or the questions over the manager will start again.

Spoon

Bigger issue Martin was Igamane who is clearly a talented boy isolated in much the same was Dessers was early season. There is no doubt as a unit and individually we got the best from the team today and that’s to their credit. Systemically though I don’t think the manager really did much today of note it just worked better, and for once our guys were clinical. I get many will see that as a bit churlish but it’s the way I see it.

Graham Jones

Camrys comments were a bit disingenuous towards Propper. The guy scores the second all important goal to give us a cushion and he still take a shit on him. Give the guy a break tonight. If he shits all over the place on Sunday then pick on him then, but not tonight because it’s not right after that performance. I was fearful going into it with all the injuries we are carrying and the two past results taking centre stage, but that’s what you get with youth, inconsistency. There is real talent in this side, there is no question about that, but they need to learn and grow which takes time. Some who have more experience don’t have any of Scottish football and I think we need to look at this in future when we are making signings. When we sign those players we need to ensure there is a solid base of players who know the league, and that wasn’t there after the end of last season. It doesn’t matter what the points are at the moment, just that the players look at the next game and that’s all. If they drop points and we don’t then fine, but we don’t look beyond the next game. Players are being asked to play too many games in a season at the top level these days, and have been for a number of years. The extra income from European games is welcome, but the two extra games are just making it more likely that players will be crocked unless they are managed well. It’s a difficult balance for a manager to get, and in reality they are not the best qualified to make those decisions. This idea that it’s just data from the sports science and the manager is free to do what he wants, because that is empirical data provided through close observation and metric gathering. You have to listen to what these people say is the likelihood if someone plays when they shouldn’t.

SunnyC

What a pleasure to listen to a happy pod to help get me out of this hangover! Great day yesterday. WATP

Stace1ofthePeople

The enigma that is this rangers team. I think we all agree that there is talent and potential in the squad. For me the issue is the drop off in quality with the bench and until that is rectified, any manager is going to struggle to win every 3 days. I've never yoyod so much with a manager before. If we can get rid of dessers, dowell matondo king lowry Lawrence balogun(like him but too injury prone) and maybe a couple others and relace with high quality well be in a much better position. Think we all know that. Personally i don't think Brendan Rodgers is a tactical genius , I think what he does have is a very strong squad with quality and barely any injuries and stability above him. Clement is in a very different and much more difficult position although it doesn't mean we can't question anything he does. Give him the players to improve the squad and let's see where we can go but he needs the backing of the board. We're only a raskin or cerny injury away from a crisis.

KAD87

Agreed. Growth isn’t linear though and that also applies to players imo. People appear desperate for Propper to go when he needs time. Just look at Nico Raskin…

ali t

Gets away with murder against us nearly every game !!

Angus Mackay

I thought we’d get hammered but Rangers showed guts , grit. & battered them . It’s been a long long wait but how good was last night 😀

John Palmer

Best Carpod of all time 😀😃😄😁😆😅😂🤣 Smug Mode. Engaged ☺️
