Rangers 3-0 Celtic Postmatch Reaction 2 Jan 2025

Rangers start the new year in the best possible way!

Comments

John Smith

We do some job representing the DID community with our performances 😆 That one was for the victims of 1902, 1961 & 1971 💙 Have yourself an incredible night David and may 2025 keep being as feel good as this 😎

Rona Bluebell

Ah, what a lovely lovely day at Ibrox. We killed the game off, who knew it was a thing! Yay 🥳

Colin Gardner

You're Fukin right David. I am going to enjoy it. Long time coming!

Bill’s truth

What is it about this team and Thursdays? 💙

Mark Barrowman

Are we starting the year with a timplosion? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Marshall 955

I love Rangers Thursdays 💙

Paul Black

We made them worry about Ridvan rather than us worry about Maeda. Raskin was immense, the type of midfielder, winner, motivator that i don't think we've really had since Davis

Steve Clark

That is not how that song goes😂😝

Derek Johnston

Surely members can get the real version of the intro!?

Boyd

A lot of our lads did themselves proud. Now the challenge is to do that every week

Phileas Fogg 55

You deserved that David , it is nice to see your wee smiley face 😁 after the shit show of the past week or so.

Scott Corral

Yeah I agree with you David, fancied us for the first time in a while for the cup final and although we were unlucky not to win the cup. Today I feared the worst giving the injury woes and the big loss in form with the last 2 games. Here’s hoping we get a big shot in the arm from today and find a way to take care of the smaller teams away from ibrox.

Vivak Kapoor

Great to see and hear a happier David

So unexpected, but so happy. Did Ridvan have money on himself to score or something? Lol

Colin Carstairs

Been a tough week Rangers.. Fantastic result today & going forward this must be the standard. It’s not going to be easy but this is where we can get to. Manager has now to take the brakes off & select his best available squad..He’s not the man to win us league titles regularly but fair play to him & the team today 🎉🤩🎉

Vanb bryceter

Thank you Rangers that's our Rangers passion pride and pissing all over the peasants. 2025 is off to a wonderful start please keep this Rangers going 🙏

Fergie

"We must make sure their worst players get the ball the most. You’ll get it back in no time.” — Johan Cruyff I think that quote was made for Scales today.

Peter

Raskin for captain please

William Hughes

Loved today. Always a fitting Victory on this date.

Colin Kennedy

Good post match content! More please Rangers.

Greg Cameron

Woke up this morning in Leith (not originally from there) thinking why I'm I fucking doing this but thankfully i did. A proper Rangers performance led by the captain...I'll leave it at that as regards to the manager ect ect great night to be a Bear enjoy troops 🇬🇧

Gareth bennie

I hope for your sake David, we don’t ever appoint Scott Parker as our manager. That would be a very awkward press conference 😂

Bryan Watson

The overall situation is the overall situation and I don't think anything today changes that. However, today was about standing up to those absolute dogs and saying no today and sending them packing. We did that and then some today. Had a superstitious feeling we win partly because last time we had half the team out and was expecting a doing realistically, we won (Helander game when everyone had covid and we travelled back from playing in Armenia 2 days before). Celtic are a good side but they are not all they are cracked up to be. Raskin or Hagi MOTM for me but think Jefte, Dio, Sterling, Ridvan up there too. Kelly, Propper, Cerny, Igamane, Baj also excellent. Praying that with Danilo we now have a striker that can consistently score against them. Celtic have had that for years with Kyogo, Edouard, Dembele etc whereas our no9s haven't been anywhere near as prolific in this fixture. A great day and result, onto the next one.

Andy McG

Reskin was great today, give him the armband permanently.

Calum Robertson

David, how proud are you that Heart & Hands Nico Raskin is our captain today ? Wee man done himself and the armband proud today

Craig Armstrong

This was very reminiscent of the 1 0 Jack game from 2018. In their face, clamp their playmaker, press hard press welll and at the right times and then their passing really collapses. This time though we converted our chances leading to a more accurate reflection of the game in a 3 0 scoreline. It makes the previous 2 performances all the more frustrating. We can ply well, and when we do are are a good team, I just ask we hit higher levels of consistency for the rest of the season. As for the Kent rumours, if he does come back I hope he does so with more drive.

Steffen McAndrew

The difference in our mood when Rangers play well and win! And against that lot! As a point of principle I love a captain to be a central midfielder…always involved in the game and always closer to the ref to be able to try to influence matters. If Rangers can nullify McGregor then we always have a good chance against them; they do not like it when we get in their faces. Great video and post-match pod. Bring on the DU and flagship!

Peter Hosie

Blue Signs Matter. If you know you know. If you don’t know you should know 💙

CJT

Just doing exactly what you suggest David. Enjoying a win against them, and a bloody comfortable one at that. The whole team were great today but Raskin and Diamonde bossed them in a way I’ve not seen in ages (ably assisted but Bajrami who pocketed McGregor again). Think I might like 2025 🤞

Douglas Innes

Said on a few places ie after the preview or online " attack is the best form of defence "

Neil 55

Great analysis of the game David. 😍

David Clapperton

Right sir, cairds on the table here…. Have you got a Scott Parker deal or is that a different type of fancy hat, scarf, jumper combo? Mone…spill??

Jim Milne

Watching Nico Raskin today was like a flashback of Barry Ferguson when he bossed these games. I recon if he puts in a performance at Old Trafford we will struggle to hold onto him this month.

QB_72

That was a performance to be proud of against that lot just need to keep up that level of intensity and performance in every game now against that lot and the jobbers in this league now. Aye the league is done for sure but we have got a fair bit of pride back today and that means a lot to the support ❤️🤍💙.

Jonny McGuffin

Winning the second ball, being first to any loose balls, this is a real feature of our best performances. We did it vs Spurs and we did it yesterday. When we do that, we are very hard to beat.

Joe Sayers

You know what, David? We all deserve this after everything we've been through. Even two of our players dropping out of the squad on the days before the game just felt normal, such is our luck. However, for all those miserable, Monday morning reruns of chastening defeats you've had to endure, I hope you enjoy this one in particular.

Ha no, I just like the gear and my wife gets me it a fair bit (hat and scarf my birthday in November, jumper was a gift last Xmas!)

Gary Shaw

Take nothing away from yesterdays performance and I absolutely love beating those manky b@$¥@%€$ but I just think we are more comfortable being the inferior team and are actually a better team without the ball….Not a good trait when 95% of a season we’re the team that needs to take the game to the opposition…..Hopefully with a bit more quality in the forward areas over the next 2 windows, that comes 🤞🏻

William Noble

I’ve had to eat humble pie today our team proved me wrong, it was an absolutely stunning performance, now we need to beat hibs

James Muir

GREAT RESULT WHEN CAN WE CHANGE THE EUROPE SQUAD DAVID THANKS

John Palmer

I thought we were gonnae get pumped v Them. Never been so glad to see us dominate that lot like we used to. However, it means nothing if we don't go and beat Hibs on Sunday. Happy New Year Everyone 🍾 🥳 🥂 🎉
