Matondo out would be great news. I do wonder the sanity of anyone willing to buy him right enough. What record of the last few years would they be looking at and deciding he's the man they need. Not our worry! It just baffles me that Clubs make these sort of signings, unfortunately ours included!

I think he suits a smaller club who have space behind to play into. We tend to play packed defences a lot domestically so his pace is negated and he’s not a dribbler.

Tend to agree. A fully fit Matondo in a team who can constantly play into space on the break would be no bad thing. That's us for about 10% of matches though so a baffling signing really.

Honestly David if Matondo and dessers left this window I would bring Lovelace up to the first team full time and then maybe bring in one more. Don’t want to bring in anyone if it’s not necessary. Save the money we get for the summer where players would be more available

I wouldn’t be against that tbh if we are unable to get the players in we want! No one can convince me that we don’t have a similar or better option than Dowell in our youth set up! Also ridvan at right back isn’t working for me so why not trust a Devine type player?

Matondo is the next wage bill we need rid of, barely fit and when playing is either on it or more often than not, miles off it. We can’t keep paying out huge wages for so little return. As you point out he’s better in English championship with space to run into. I hope the team realise tonight is a home win, early goals and let’s show the sheep they’re at our glorious home. Nothing less will do.
