Stephen Haworth

Nick Walsh is now terrified to give us any form of decision. The Tim's have controlled this media narrative that he is a rangers supporter so much that he's worried for his personal life and career to be seen to show us any favourable decisions.

Jim Milne

3 points and up the road. If Kyogo does the same "slap" as Diomande, all you'd hear from the media is "oh he's a cheeky wee chap, no malice. Booking would be harsh"

Brian Cairney

Appealing the red isn’t enough!! We should be calling for Walsh’s head along with his mates from the cup final. That performance from Walsh is up there with Beaton v Hibs in 2017 and Clancy at Parkhead in 2019.

Tamus

Dreadful tune 😉

Scott Sinclair

Walsh has been got at. That there is no doubt

David Herd

The red card was a scandal. Some of defending of cross balls was awful. The Dessers finish was magnificent. But some of Igamane's touches and ball control were the highlight of the day, and hopefully his wonderful self confidence and natural ability don't get forgotten because of the other things that happened. We have a genuine star here, enjoy him while you can.

MARK DRIVER

Red card is an embarrassing decision, SPL refs are so so poor

Graham johnston

Why do we have to put up with Sutton every TV game. I appreciate we can't control who sky employees but what do Sky gain from having such an dickhead on. I'm literally going to wait until by current contract runs out and cancel it.

james whyte

Worst first half of football from us since the last domestic away game. 2nd half much better. Igamane superb. Ref as bad as our defending.

Alan Weir

I think Igamane’s insatiable desire to have a shot at goal is catching on with other players. I’d far rather see a move end pretty quickly with a shot than spend 5 minutes of sideways build up finishing with a cross straight to an opposition defender. I also hope Igamane is on some kind of nutmeg bonus - he can’t stop himself!

Scott Tolmie

Great result and Cyril Dessers take a bow son, no 18 for the season, great return.

Alan Weir

Sutton is on to annoy you (us?) at every turn. He is very good at it and, with Celtic’s current dominance, he has all the cards. He’s a big fanny: ignore him.

Scott Stewart

Great win, poor first half , Maybe the managers finally learned! Two strikers win games particularly away from home , our defence is soft as crap! We need two new Cb! We could have been 3 down inside 30mins! Walter won titles playing 442 year on year. Clement must keep two strikers on the park at all times . Hopefully he learned his lesson ! Good second half and some decent individual performances, Raskin, Diomande, igamane . Excellent goal and link play between dessers and igamane . Outstanding finish.

Gordon Millar

Some good performances from Dio, Igamane and Raskin, but we badly lack physicality at CH and central midfield where we need to target 6ft+ players to adapt to this league we play in......Walsh has been a cheat for a while now, this is just another blatant example of cheating and refereeing us to a different standard....... thoroughly fed up of this🤬!

David Simpson

It's the first league game we've won this season after being behind. We beat Motherwell in the League Cup.

Alexander Laird

There was no decision for him to make tho other than perhaps a booking for Holt for the shoving. He's been corrupted and is a cheat there is no defence for that red card decision.

Martin Boyd

All DU offered was tactical fouls, elbows , shirt pulling and aggression. First team they play next season in Europe will dick them , foreign refs will not stand for them. As for the sending off can we appeal? Ridiculous decision almost back to Collum sending of Danny for blowing a kiss. Scottish referees are awful and Scottish football therefore is awful to watch.

David Baillie

Walsh had that red card out quicker than Dynamo.

Jim McCutcheon

Thanks guys 👍, win is much appreciated wasn't a great win maybe rode our luck at times but still away win so 👏, horrendous nick am right decision again 😠,

Colin Gardner

They are hiding in plain sight and Nick Walsh is a cheating bastard. That said what an enjoyable 2nd half. Igamane is diffrent class and I'm going to put my head on the block by saying he will be better than peak Alfie! Dessers just WTAF! What a finish.

Alan Weir

Colin, your defending of Ridvan is taking on all of the appearance of my defence of big Colin West in the 1980s…less and less tenable by the week 😂

Alan Weir

Probably not the correct day to say it, but let’s hope we play the market a little more shrewdly with Igamane than we did with Alfie.

mark wyper

I've heard you say a few times David that there's refsout there that make the game all about themselves. I was talking to one of my workmates who is a qualified ref and without prompting him he said that is what Clancy is all about after we talked about the Aberdeen game at Ibrox.

Colin Gardner

I dont think we will get burned twice. I'd live him to stay at least another year and see where this boy will be but I see a real star here in the making.

Hendi

Agree on penalty, but it was just glossed over. I've never seen or heard any comment on it until now.

Doogz

Aye let’s hope the guy is here for the foreseeable he is only going to get better and better, for his progression get games under his belt with us domestically and in Europe and maximize any sale

keith wright

I like the look of Dalby, if we don’t do Shankland on a free I wonder if we could look at him as a 3rd striker? Though not sure Wrexham would be easy to deal with.

Colin

I feel I gave up that ghost today in my comments tbf.

Alan Weir

He looked a player, but, like a lot of the squad in the last few years, just hasn’t been improved by the Ibrox coaching. As for Colin West, he just needed a break, a deflection…he coulda been a contender🤷‍♂️😁

Really good win but we will never win a title with a manager who's sole defensive tactic is just send them out and say win your duels. No work on it or any hint of work being done to combat our deficiencies. We will have some great performances but on the days ur not at ur very best then too many points will be dropped away from home in our league.

David Taylor

I really can’t fathom why Walsh made the decision in the first place, then stuck with it with the benefit of multiple replays. The fact that VAR has asked him to look at it tells him that it’s at least debatable. He cannot look at the relays and think he’s got it correct, it’s just not possible. Why would he want to bring the hassle on himself? The game was won at that point as well, so not like it could affect the outcome of the game. I think the clown must like the limelight and controversy

8luenose1872

When we call for refs all they do is punish us with even more bad displays. It happens every time but when the scum do it then they shit themselves and give nothing against them for weeks. There is no winning this until they stop hiring ceptic supporters as refs but that will never happen coz those scum bastards have all the control in this league.

David Innes

Dessers is a great asset when we play to his strengths- hope he stays and that we see more of him and Igamane playing together

David

Nick Walsh is a cheat. We have all been saying it for years. I hope the club are pushing to have him removed from our games going forward.

Moody Marco

Guys for the love of God can we start getting our own players’ names right? It’s hard to take anyone view on actual football seriously when they can’t even pronounce our own players’ names. His name is NOT “Cyril”. This is content we’re paying for FFS

Simon Botterill

We simply are not aggressive enough in all aspects of the club. Football on the pitch at any age and level is intensity. This was unacceptable in the first half and much improved in the second half, thus the improvement. Officiating, why from the very first minute and 'a free one' is left on Hagi are we not on top of protesting and trying to address this via the entire match day squad, I am fully advocating the relevant member of the wider management is allowed free licence to go off on one in a controlled maner, during the required periods during the match (i.e. half time). As for off it, why is Sky fully of that lot talking utter nonsense (narrative set pre match), why is PS not actually doing anything, no follow up post the league cup. We will continue be be bullied on and off without an actual measures plan. Scottish football is rank, act or expect the same shambles.

Linda Mackay

Walsh had done his best to try to influence the outcome of the game but failed. He then makes a decision that he hopes will have an effect on Rangers next games. I don’t know what we can do about the situation. As fans, we go into every domestic game knowing that we will not be refereed fairly, any contentious decisions will not go in our favour and even more importantly our players will not be protected by the referees. Feels like a bit of a hopeless predicament at times.

Roddy Wylie

Bajrami was quietly effective today, thought you were a bit harsh on that one

JimM

IN SEE OH 😉

James

It isn’t just the ref that needs watched - Sutton and the other pundit (who wasn’t Boyd) were of the opinion it was more of a red card than yellow, and Sutton even suggested that players can’t go around slapping other players despite their being no conclusive angle.

Heart and Hand

I can only apologise. People sometimes have a blind spot on names, and occasionally when you’re doing a show - not scripted remember - it’s possible to make an error or misspeak. I’m sorry if it ruins the content for you but unfortunately I can’t guarantee it won’t happen. Occasionally I have said ‘Igamanny’. It’s an error, you feel bad when you hear it back but we are human. I’ve heard mispronounced names on matches yoday on both Sky and TNT. Of course, if it really does spoil your enjoyment to the point where it isn’t worth to you what you pay for it and you want to cancel, please email david@heartandhand.co.uk and you will receive an immediate no-questions-asked refund. 👍

Graham Mclaren

Panic on the streets of Carlisle, Dublin Dundee Humberside I wonderrrrrr to myyyyyself

G Calder

What a tune !!!!

Robbie McCarroll

Yeah the narrative has been set quite quick by some pundits and even the SPFL our board need to kick up a stink on this.

Scott Stewart

Just in time to sell him. Perfect. Clear out the deadwood and get the moneyin while you can. He won’t be here after the summer. Better cashing in when his stock is high . The Goals In his last three games have been world class finishes ! But it’s Too little too late ! It’s Partly the manager to blame trying to get dessers to do the things igamane can do. It’s not his game ! #CASH IN NOW #

Scott Stewart

He’s 30, We need to take the first acceptable offer and run. He won’t be here after the Summer anyway , best selling when the stocks high. Clements been playing him wrong. He needs to play in a two!.

Colin Gardner

Met him at Bellshill AstroTurf 4 months after he signed and I can confirm he was an utter fanny magnet!

Alan Weir

Perhaps another reason why he couldn’t raise a sprint on a Saturday?

Harry Nolan

McFadden commentating today was awful. Repeatedly dismissed our complaints about fouls on Diomande. At one point after Diomande had been caught late once again he said "he's got the foul, what more does he want?" Well how about some protection from the referee and some form of punishment for the opposition?

Ross F

You don’t hear enough ‘dweeb’ these days. Bravo Davie

Rose Mcloughlin

Can you imagine a world where our players are treated fairly by a ref...its becoming a nightmare...even decent refs let players from smaller clubs off with some crazy decisions because as in their way of thinkinh we are a bigger club ....Will it ever change...even coverage later never show the constant tackles our players put up with..so shamefull .

chris smith

Walsh was scunnered Rangers won…. he just wanted to send a Rangers player off to compensate

David_Davy_Dave

Rangers playing at 12 was mentioned in passing here It is long overdue for us to be lobbying on this. Man Utd refused to play at 3 on Sunday Playing 12 after a Thursday game simply is not fair and has to be a factor in our injuries I appreciate Celtic won’t support it now but others will. Celtic’s view naturally will change when the coefficient getting worse sees them play on a Thursday too Make the request if either team has a Thursday game then their game on a Sunday has to be 3 or later. Make it publicly and do it at the start of every season

John Palmer

Dessers was fired up and really quite good over the 90 mins. If we could have that every game and his chances to goals ratio was closer, then he'd be the answer alongside Igmane and Danilo.

John Palmer

Is the fact you're named Moody is the reason why you're annoyed at mispronounced names? If it's that annoying then don't listen, just cancel your sub.

Kenneth Mackay

Nick Walsh was the VAR who decided that Johnston elbowing Hagi in the back of the head was fine. Just a friendly reminder!

Kenneth Mackay

Both he and Crocker dismissed the Gallagher handball as “not a penalty” immediately, totally and as if prompted by a producer. It is the clearest handball I’ve ever seen. His arm is out and he slaps it down like a basketball. It doesn’t rebound off another body part, he does gain an unfair advantage. If that’s not a handball, nothing is.

Rona Bluebell

WTAF? Get a grip of yourself man. ‘Content we’re paying for’ is up there with ‘I pay your wages’. Jeezo

Laura Clarke

Just wanted to point out that United didn’t refuse anything, common sense just prevails in England. Their game was given that kick-off time because it has been chosen for TV by TNT. TNT’s traditional slot of 12.30pm on a Saturday obviously couldn’t be used, with United having played us on Thursday. As Sky were showing games at 2pm and 4.30pm on Sunday, TNT aren’t permitted to schedule a clash. A 12pm Sunday kick-off had been floated by TNT, but it was actually the footballing authorities that deemed it too close to the finish of United's Thursday night game (I know, what kind of sorcery is this). If the United game hadn’t been on TV it would have been played at 2pm, like Spurs.
