As ever David a great summary. Good result but we have Butland to thank for that in the 1st half. Could easily have been such a different outcome.

Effort in 1st half after the worst result in our history was pathetic, if not unexpected. Totally agree on Tom Lawrence what do we gain by starting him and what do we lose by not playing 2 strikers, the manager continues to tinker with formation even after last week. Sadly this is a rinse and repeat performance against a team whose strikers had an off day or lacked the required quality. In a footballing sense the end of the domestic season can't come quick enough!

Thanks David you should be commended for your effort and commitment. Unfortunately I'm a burst baw that was as mundane as I've seen .If we had been cuffed there would be no complaints for me. Embarrassing again a 17 year old playing for hearts almost full game and we chuck kids on with minutes to go. I'm sorry but I'm just not getting what the plan is here.

Agree but what chance would he have of developing. We do play younger players In nsiala ,Jefte , Igamane which is great to see,then we have Rice getting hooked after an uninspiring half when he could basically have picked anyone of those ten outfielders,just don't see it I'm afraid

We need to see a plan a shape alternating tactics. We had a week on the training pitch and looked like we only just met each other. Our passing was shocking 😭

STILL playing Lawrence is why we need shot now. A caretaker to the summer would be allowing the young boys minutes & we might even see some kind of shape & subsequent composure. I suspect their angle is that they're desperate for Euro money so hoping he'll get us further there but low sales elsewhere might counter that idea anyway.

Good result, will never turn my nose up at winning at Tynecastle however, absolutely nobody should be fooled by that. For wanting to show a "reaction" to the worst defeat in the club's history, we were abject, slow, lacklustre and lazy. If Hearts had put 4 or 5 by us today we really couldn't have argued with it because they probably should have. Manager is kidding himself on with his post match comments. Fair enough in a winning team you will need to win when you don't play well but the not playing well should be the exception. For us it is the standard, the only exceptions we get are results like today when we probably deserved to be sent packing. Something that is really getting on my nerves is the manager will clutch onto anything to justify something in one moment but will ignore it when it doesn't suit him. Talks about budgets against likes of Spurs and Celtic yet won't raise it when we are getting schooled off dross with a fraction of our resources or frantically pointing to stats to somehow argue bad results and performances actually are just unlucky but won't mention them when, like today, the stats show we have committed a highway robbery. It hasn't improved and it simply won't improve under this manager. Another shocker is in the post going by today's performance.

Said before it, just get 3 points anyway we can. Really shouldn’t complsin when we did just that, but deary me we went a weird way about it. Problems are as obvious as they were before QP, but at least another week closer to this miserable domestic season ending.

Points mean nothing for the season so if Clement thinks they do he’s deluded. Only a change in set up and mentality that gives hope for the future will matter, even if it takes half a dozen games to rework this failed winger system into a 442 then lets take the pain now. Igamane being put into the wilderness that Dessers found himself in from the start of the season. Why Clement persists with this single striker nonsense blunting what talent we do have in our 9s is baffling. This set up doesn’t work, he continues to shoehorn players into a shape that produces the proverbial square root and use tactics that teams here worked out about 12 months ago. I don’t relate to Cerny or think he’s actually very good but will acknowledge and respect his numbers for us, I don’t believe he wants to be here long term (cant blame him tbf), I don’t like any loans in general and I think his numbers paper over huge holes in his game. In fairness if he can continue and gets 20 plus it’s more than any other winger has done for us in years and something only Dessers managed as the striker, thats reality is a damning indictment on the team. This was a cookie cutter set up, performance and game that we have seen from day one with Clement. He isn’t learning, players aren’t improving, tactics aren’t solidifying and we haven’t travelled far on any progression or shown signs the ‘rebuild’ is materialising. This continues to be throw shit at wall and see what sticks. Numb to it all now frankly.

Thanks David...yes pretty strange game...I recorded it on Sky as I was out..I started watching it from the start ...but it is not the same anymore, the exciting feeling at the start of a Rangers game was gone and what I was watching didnt help me any...Hearts attacking was more fast...a few passes and they were in our box..god bless Jack as we would have been hammerred again today...when we got the ball the passing was terrible and no one seemed to know what the plan was ..or am I still in shock from our cup game...again a big thanks to our travelling fans they are martyrs.

What worries me is that if the away form continues to improve the board will use it as a reason to keep the manager. The reality is it’s a completely different ball game now the pressure is off and ultimately these results are meaningless. The only good thing that can come from the rest of the season is to give plenty of game time to the youngsters

Love the commend from Neville saying that teams can’t outrun poor performances. I’m a golfer and there was a similar phrase: Pros putting for pars is like dogs chasing cars.😛
