Alan Black

Get him out tonight.

Scott

Can you sack a manager in the middle of a takeover?

Martin Maliska

Wants his payout, absolute charlatan!

Brian Hardie

He has to go now. If it was thought his position was untenable before, he has absolutely confirmed that today.

james whyte

Has to be gone. By keeping him the Club are embarrasing each and every one of us.

Rona Bluebell

Standards are in free fall now. That’s what happens when you don’t hold a line.

Stephen

At least this will even have the doubters convinced we need this takeover to happen. There is no point plodding on like this for decades.

Simon Lewandowski

it's over to the board now,but that puts them in a position that leaves them looking very weak after Patrick Stewarts comments through the week a complete shambles on every level

Simon Lewandowski

sorry for another post but this is regarding the players being up for it after them dropping points•••who in that squad cares about Rangers?I can't think of one player that looks like they bother about this football club

Colin Ferguson

It's just rinse and repeat I'm past hurt... I am just numb now Clements voice is just a noise. I have to switch off.. I appreciate the report D & S.. Especially on days like these.

Robert White

Baldy Beale i thought meant well. But its all hot air. He acknowledges its the worst performance under him and that the fans want him gone. So why is he here?

Graham Ross

I think the Board will keep him for the European games and then he gets binned. Slightly OT, anyone else who sits in the Govan Rear get sunburnt today?

Andy Fullen

The European excuse doesn’t wash - Gio got us to a European final and qualified for the Champions League. There is no reason for retaining Clement and they have said it’s not a financial decision so they have no excuse either.

David P

I've got tbh I don't rate Clement as a manager and I don't want him here but I'm also at the point where I really don't like him as a person either.

Brian Marshall

I have never seen a Rangers team so poor against physical teams in my life as a fan and so many that turn up when they think it matters so many that will not but there body on the line no heart at all .

Jim McCutcheon

Sad state prolonged shit show under this manager and the players 🤦

William Shand

I did a thing today that I have never done before in over 50 years of following Rangers and left with 20 minutes left to play. We had some poor teams back in the 70’s and 80’s but at least those players knew what it meant to play for our club. These imposters never will.

Jeb

It's always been the case that they get worse after he gets time on the training ground. Last season we were flying and on for the league, then the winter break happened. He's the only person in glasgow that didn't see this coming.

Stephen

Kettlewell was talking about wanting to beat up their fans the other day! 😂 Kettlewell wouldn’t be walking away from £millions when he quit. No way Clement should walk away from the money we were stupid enough to promise him. We need to sack him.

Tamus

Fuck off Baldamort

Martin Sutherland

He’s going nowhere. I put a post on James’ pre-season chief exec show about how miserable the season would be and how the board wouldn’t sack him to save face. The message was probably the most negative thing I have ever written and the guys kinda made light of it… and fair enough. It was brutal. Unfortunately, it’s actually 10x worse than I thought 😂

stephen

Today the players declared how they feel about the manager. They want him gone, the fans want him gone. The board actually don't have any decision to make, it has been forced upon them now.

Dougie

I’m getting to the hatred point!!!

Andy Gray

Mind his first press conference? “I like dominant football, I want to play dominant football. For me, I have four pillars. I want to create in the club the best tactical team, physical team, and the best team mentally in the league over the next couple of months.” Has achieved none of the above in 18 months. GHTF

Graeme Duncan

Thanks guys. The board must make the decision now, this cannot continue. Ibrox will get emptier each game he stays.

Andrew Meldrum

In the post match press conference, Dessers was asked if the squad has the required quality. I think it's a decent answer, honest and accurate, and I have pasted it below.. It's not the talent that this squad lacks, it's mentality. The manager's job is to forge that mentality, to drive the standards (how many stories about Walter dealing with players come down to Walter getting players to match his standards?). In one answer, Dessers is identifying what is going wrong, and by failing to mention the manager when he talks about how to fix it, he shows the squad aren't expecting him to deliver the answers. If anyone wants proof he has lost his dressing room, it's right here. That's a hard question, I think these players showed already that they belong at a club like Rangers. All of them, they have the quality to be at a club like Rangers, but it's more than quality alone, I think for me, quality is also showing it consistently on a weekly basis at Rangers, twice a week. I think that's real quality, because you can say talent is technical ability, but for me it's showing it every week, and I think we need to make a step there as a group, to show it twice a week. The real quality, the real mentality, and I'm talking about technical, tactical, and the mentality, and physical, and I think there are still steps to be made there.

David Innes

The Queens Park result has clearly left some significant mental scarring. The team and the manager are done.

Graeme McLeod

I'm with you. I wanted him gone even before the Scottish Cup Final. It wasn't necessarily because the team blew the chance to win the league - realistically we didn't expect to even be in with a shout - but his reaction to it. He seemed content with finishing a close second whereas players like Sterling were raging that they'd blown it. Right then I didn't think this guy actually understood what the standard is supposed to be at Rangers. I still didn't expect things to go this badly. Team full of foreigners, many of them second rate? Expected that. Not developing young talent? Expected that. Not being able to lay a glove on Celtic in a meaningful game? Expected that. And yet it's somehow still worse. I've stopped going to games and I'm at the point where Rangers - both as an institution and a football team - aren't what I grew up being told they were. The only thing that might have me renewing my season tickets is the takeover. If not for that I'd be fully out, as we're not going to get any better under the current ownership. They'd just replace Clement with another of his ilk.

Graeme McLeod

Yes. It's just not a smart idea to appoint a new permanent manager. A manager down south literally was sacked within an hour of being appointed because a takeover was completed and the new owners wanted their own guy. Put Kevin Thomson in as interim manager until the end of the season. And after that he should have some sort of coaching role at the club - there needs to be someone there to set the standard.
