Welcome to R is for Rangers, Episode H!  I am joined this time by Colin for a really fun chat about some legendary players and arguably one of the most momentous days in recent Rangers history.

I hope you have as much fun listening as we did recording it.

Next up, we’re talking about the letter I - as always, drop your suggestions in the comments.  Until next time!

I is a difficult one. There's Ibrox, of course. Other than that, how about Ireland (as in players from that island) or International (great Rangers players who starred for their country)? Can't think of many players starting with I, can only come up with Igamane and Itten, neither deserve a podcast about them!

David Herd

I think you must be only talking about league games with Johnny Hubbard for his appearances and goals. He definitely scored more than 100 for Rangers and must have played a lot more than the number quoted. Maybe you used Wikipedia, they often only include league stats for some reason.

Best show on the network

I was at Easter road on helicopter Sunday with my brother We got two tickets from a guy who didn’t want to go The joy was unbelievable when Motherwell scored there second goal But then the terrible wait as out game finished first so we had the nerve wracking wait for there game to finish What a day that was

Ah, no! I’m always worried I’ll get my research wrong 😬 I think that came from the Fitba Stats website, as I’m wary I Wikipedia, but it was a couple of weeks ago now so I can’t remember exactly! I’ll need to go back and validate, so that’ll be my homework first next time! Thanks for the heads up! 💙

I could be a whole show about Ibrox. You could go over the stadiums history, location, how all the stands came to be and why there called what they’re called

Loving this series Adriana, I too am a relative newbie, in fact I didn't give a flying toss about football a decade ago. But my son was getting into it and my husband works away at sea,so if the small boy wanted to go and season tickets were to be purchased then I had to learn how to take him to watch the football... you then kinda get caught up in it after that 🤣 my dad being a big blue nose was delighted by this... just 30 years too late... 🤣 Now my son plays in Junior football (well, the development team for a juniors club) and I can confirm it is indeed like a different sport at times, although the refs are just as bad. One power hungry ref issued 8 (yes 8) red cards TO THE SAME PERSON one after the other last week after the player went on a foul mouthed tirade after the award of a penalty (it was never a pen BTW). Willie Henderson is a gent. He went to Benfica on a special day trip with Sons of Struth Football Academy when my son was there too, lovely guy!
