Let's get this win tonight and dedicate it to the memory of Christopher Potter. Heartbreaking hearing those lovely words from his wife. I lost my father at 30, and I can't imagine losing my Dad at the age wee Teddy and his brother and sister are. RIP Christopher. 💙

€10m for Igamane, no thank you unless it has a 50% sell on. I know he has a 5 year deal but perhaps it's time to renegotiate with a €15-€20m buyout. On the flipside most of us would agree that we should have taken £10m for Butland in January 2024. Either way €10m is about a 4-500% profit and that can't be sniffed it. A very good position for us and Igamane to be in.

The Butland example is interesting but it's quite a different scenario talking about a player at that stage of his career with a history of inconsistency versus a youngster with room still to grow Things can go very badly very quickly - who would have believed we'd lose money on Kent or Morelos? Or in the summer of 23, who thought we'd eat a loss on Cantwell? Can argue it both ways but as the Overlord says, people are getting paid good money to make these decisions and hopefully they earn it
