Graham Hendry

Superbly selected tune after The Great Soak of 2025

Glyn Davies

I see what ya did there 😎🤣💦💦💦❤️🤍💙

Stephen Strong

Happy St Patricks Day to one and all. Thank you Barry his coaching staff and all the players for making it the best one in years. 🇬🇧💙⚽

Graham Roy

Tune! Woke up with a smile and watching the carnage caused be Cerny makes me happy! David does this prove we need a leader as a manager?

D

I remember hearing a SSB interview with Barry years ago when he was at Kelty/ Alloa and he made a comment that always stuck in my head- he said the major of his time managing in the lower leagues is taken up dealing with people problems- the guys being part time and having work issues, not making it to training, family problems, missus problems, money problems, drink problems, etc. he couldn’t spend the time he wanted on training and tactics. I always wondered if he ever got the chance at Rangers working with full time professionals and a professional club set up would he be able to show what’s he’s capable of. And he’s clearly done that.

John Smith

Happy St Paddy’s day to all the unwashed. Bless St Cerny, bringer of cleanliness 🙏

Tamus

We absolutely SKOOSHED it

Alan Weir

Alongside Cernygate, I’d like to throw in the behaviour of the Parkhead ballboys as another source of great comedy. These lads sat there - faces tripping them like boys on a Friday detention - refusing to throw the ball to Rangers players…and helping us waste valuable time! A truly classless organisation, but one that is a little cleaner this morning.

Colin Gardner

I've got to be honest when the 4 boys came in I had a facepalm moment. How wrong have I been! Barry has been superb. Speaks well and carrys himself like a Rangers manager. McCann and Dodds have been superb also. So the question is are these boys in with a shout of actually getting it permanent. We look well coached, we now have a bit of dig about us and we look like a Rangers side of old. Barry and the vault of staunch are slowly winning me over.

Rona Bluebell

Cheeky song choice. Lovely Monday is it not 💙

Graham Roy

I am less concerned if Barry was given the full time position. That said I still have that fear is it just because there is nothing to play for.

james whyte

Tune. Barry and his team have, in a few weeks, been able to change formations/tactics and improve set pieces massively. What the fuck was Clement doing and talking about? Barry keeps improving and wins next OF. Maybe he is the man, alongside a quality coaching setup.

Heart and Hand

As regular listeners will know, I was very critical of what PC was or wasn’t doing with the side. Yes he had shit circumstances from above but he didn’t do the things he did have control over well enough.

David Campbell

Absolutely tune! Hope we all had a cracking weekend. Hungover TF but we'll worth it.

Graham Roy

It was the one in the first half when they kept booting the ball away it was pointless as we didn’t need to rush!

Alan Mitchell

Someone spoke about intensity recently, may have been on H&H, can’t remember who. It stuck with me. They basically said if you train at low intensity to molly coddle the players they won’t have another gear to go up. Under Clement that all seems so obvious now. Barry has upped the intensity and we went up a gear in the latter part of yesterdays game when the PC side would have lost. Thanks to Barry and the boys for putting the heart back into our team. 🇬🇧

Rose Mcloughlin

Yep first thing I said to my pal they are so stupid they dont realize they were helping us..it was so funny.

Rose Mcloughlin

I am just waiting for someone to punch me as my grin is from ear to ear...happy days lets enjoy them. And thanks to you guys esp the car pod trying to take their eyes off the game to write wee notes ...true stars.

Graeme McLeod

I'm in two minds about the management team. On the one hand, I don't think we should get too carried away with results. This team all too often turns up for one-off games after they've already blown a league title, cup final etc. But on the other hand, the team looks more organised and disciplined than they ever did under Beale or Clement - and I think the management have to be given credit for that. Under Clement they were making very basic things look very difficult to the point you wonder what he was actually thinking.

stefan strzelecki

It may be early to discuss Barry for permanent role, what is indisputable, is the decisive approach to his management to date. The teamwork he displayed on the pitch , is as evident off it. When we acknowledge that Alex Ferguson managed East Fife , and St Mirren , before taking Aberdeen to domestic and European success . It reminds us that , not every iconic manager needs to have a reputation of elite managerial ability. Sir Alex himself has indicated , that the thirst for the expectation of victory at Rangers , helped form the ideological approach to succeeding at both Aberdeen and Man Utd. Our management team are developing standards , and attitudes at the club, that advance success.

Jim McCutcheon

Thanks David happy we definitely are 😁❤️🤍💙

Jim Milne

Woke up today as a 46 year old man grinning from ear to ear with the result and laughing at Cérny soaking those fans and Dujon calling their place a shithole. This is the playing and shithousery standards I want from our club. Some "fans" think it's okay to verbally abuse, spit and throw objects at players. Then cry foul when they get 1% back. You wouldn't deal with that in any other job. As for Dujon, you know that's come from Barry and staff calling their place a shithole while preparing for the game. I should add I've seen Cerny soak them about 50 times and it is still hilarious everytime!

Stephen

Credit to the players for this result too. We have been saying all season that most of them aren’t good enough but it’s clear that’s not true. They just needed to be guided in the right way. The future is brighter than most of us think with these guys. The best players we have are mostly the younger ones so just hope we can bring in a few more good ones and push on next season.

David Innes

My thoughts on whether Barry should get the job permanently are that it entirely depends on who the other options are - if the new owners are able to attract an elite top level coach then the chances will be slim however if it’s a choice between him and rolling the dice with someone like Jessie Marsh or Russel Martin then I’d Barry all day long. Also if he does get the job it absolutely has to be a 1 year rolling contract- I’d like to think he’d be happy with that.

Bryan Watson

What pleased me most about yesterday is that it was major role reversal. Normally we are the ones who don't start playing until we are a goal or 2 down. Hamza's goal yesterday whilst an absolutely outrageous finish, comes from a simple punt up the park with 2/3 Celtic defenders not dealing with it. How many times have we watched them do that to us? Think of Kyogo and Maeda's goals at Ibrox last season. Golum should have absolutely buried that chance at the end to make it 3-3 but he blazed it over. How many massive big chances do we miss against them at key moments? 2 Sakala open goal misses, 4v1 in the cup final there, several Dessers and Morelos sitters spring to mind. It was nice to have the luck they have in this fixture for a change. On the disdain for them couldn't agree more. League title's will be decided by who the better team is but I think these individual games can often be decided purely on who wants it more on the day. We have treated going there like going to the Bernabeau in a European semi final and shown them far too much respect. When Barry got the job I wanted him to at least instill in these players that they need to show an absolute disregard for Celtic, their players, their gyro built stadium and their fans. They hate us, go out and get it up them, show them you hate them too. Its a pity we have taken more points off Celtic than we have taken off St Mirren this season and thats why we are where we are. Hopefully the takeover sorts us out because the gap isn't as big as it is sensationally made out to be.

Ross Hunter

First and foremost what a tune selection today. Almost as good as the result yesterday. Press clutching at straws over the water incident as no other ‘controversy’ to throw at Rangers.

Martin Davies

Managing at that level is a completely different job. How would Pep and Jurgen get on dealing with the kind of stuff a Kelty manager has to deal with? And vice versa.

Calum Robertson

You can never have enough disdain for that club

David Dunlop

Ha, superb song choice 👌🏻

Hendi

We were hailing Beale as the second coming when we beat them in spring '23. Clement was the second coming when he won 18 of his first 20 games. Now, for many, Ferguson should be a shoe-in for the job, based on winning a match that will be dismissed as a "meaningless friendly" the minute he hits a bad run... Can nobody take a measured approach anymore? Everything has to be extreme swings with no lessons ever learned from recent history.

Derek Stevenson

Treat them with disdain and hating them is the only way. Give them nothing else. We’ve suffered Brown and Griffiths mocking us for years. Even that weirdo Swedish prick Lustig, who tipped a cop’s hat and wore it. Try doing that on a Saturday night out! And now the Police may look into Cerny’s actions. Deflection every time with that mob. Keep it coming Rangers. In spades.

David Bill

Question Barry getting a lot of kudos and rightfully so for recent results How much do you believe that the back room staff are the real difference makers and he is more of a figurehead?

stuart paterson

I want bazza in perm Why would anyone be against it now Top coaching team also We need to get back to our roots Signings and far afield ones will be koppens domain anyhow.

Craig

The meltdown we’re witnessing is quite incredible! They can’t quite understand why they didn’t just turn up and pump us, they certainly don’t like that we stood up to them and more! With this takeover and being backed financially they know it’s the beginning of the end!

Scott Watson

We do seem to be losing sight of how fundamentally different the tasks of seeing out a doomed season and starting a new one are

James Anderson

With very respected new owners and the team starting to show signs of improvement, I can see Brenda planning his exit strategy before next season.

James Anderson

Totally agree David, we need to show that destain for them as they do for us. I would add that to all other clubs as they and thier support show utter destain for us. Always remember, they all chose to send us down and loved to kick us at every opportunity.

Graham Jones

I’d’ rather we wait until the end of the season before we start looking at who the manager should be. Barry has done well, but I just don’t think he has what it takes to be our manager long term. A lot of the work on the shape of the team and discipline was done by Clement, and I think Simon Jordan made a good point in that he hasn’t done anything Clement was doing.. he’s made a difference in their temperament but if it comes to technical things then I would prefer we had a grown up doing that instead. We need a proper top manager, and the new people will likely agree if they want the best for the club. Winning in Europe was more important this season, as that is where we could raise more funds. Clement put us in a good place there, and Barry has carried on the good work done by the previous manager. However, if we were to lose the next game or even draw it the mood will shift. The good news is that we are away from home at Dundee next, so we will likely win. It’s when ewe return to Ibrox that will be the issue.

Hendi

Agreed. Nobody has ever doubted this lot's ability to perform when there is no weight of expectation upon them.

Jason Allan

Isn’t it ironic they can go running to Police for water, but institutional and decades long child abuse and they never reported it? Treat them like the opposition, they’ve looked down on us for too long, it was refreshing to see us go there stand up and be rangers!
