There’s a strong chance he won’t get the job for next season, for various reasons. But I don’t think there will many of the supporters who won’t be disappointed when whoever the new man is, gets appointed. And could that have a negative effect?

Great show guys, he is my rangers captain and he gave me some of my best memories. I remember lying in bed watching sky sports at midnight waiting on his return being confirmed. And now seeing my wee girl love him as much as I did makes me smile, she loves his passion on the sidelines and that's one thing that can't ever be questioned is his passion for the club.

Great show. Barry has always been defiant, the good and occasionally the bad (can't have the good without the bad). Madness Barry or someone who actually understands what is required in the environment we actually play in has not been in a senior management role.

Great show lads thanks for that. Ferguson has done himself no harm the last few weeks in terms of being considered for the job permanently. Would either of you go as far as to say he deserves a crack at it? I think it would have been something to consider if we weren’t getting a takeover and looking like we are going to go through massive changes at the club.

One of the best, in my opinion. He’d be in my greatest eleven if based on what was achieved at the club. Yes, there have been better players, like Souness, Gascoigne, Wilkins and Gio but, for Rangers?

Brilliant pod, was a great listen as I ran my 21 miles this morning! Brown better than Barry?! He wasnt even anywhere near Kevin Thomson let alone Barry! It’s forgotten that in Browns first 4 seasons all he had to show for it was “the broony” as he didn’t lay a glove on us until we went down the leagues and the “legend” was born. When I saw the pictures of Barry walking out at Parkhead last week and he was almost smiling it felt like a bit of us was back. The Rangers teams I loved always fed off all the crap from the stands at Parkhead and I don’t think we’ve done that since Gerrard.
