Another week rushes by and Hoggy doesn't quite get around to his plans. There's always next week!

However, Rangers continue to make things interesting:

  • Old Firm game - we were excellent for long spells

  • Cerny sprays some water - where's the harm?

  • Rangers statement on just about everything

  • 30 years since the passing of Davie Cooper

100% agree with you about the captaincy being shared. If Tav stays, I feel it's a respectful way to phase him out, if Tav goes it's a great way to see what players will step up as leaders and be THE captain in future seasons. Fantastic as always Hoggy, I always look forward to the hamper.

I don’t think we need to spend masses either But I do think the FFP constraint is being massively overplayed. I also think the relative benefit of extra £ spent this summer to get a jump on qualifying for the CL would make sense. I’d rather be a self sustaining club who sells players from a position of financial strength and a record of success v how we are currently perceived

Davie Cooper. Taken far to young and greatly missed. Gave us many great memories. I remember on the BinB bus to Dortmund in December 95 half the bus ever so quietly singing Davie Cooper on the wing . It was the middle of the night and it really has stuck with me. RIP Coops.

I would add NOTHING will cause a meltdown at Parkhead like us being in the CL and them not. Beyond a title win that’s the one thing that hugely changes the dynamic

I remember working with an older guy around 2002 - he was a motherwell fan. A very knowledgeable football guy who loved his team, but would chat football with me every Monday morning. I once asked him who the best motherwell player was thay he had ever seen. - I expected St John, Wark or Pettigrew etc. But NO. Without even stopping to think his immediate answer was "DAVIE COOPER, he was a genius he virtually won us the Scottish Cup on his own"

Like all good teams it’s the sum of the total that defines their quality. If this management team continues to show and grow then why wouldn’t we appoint them. On a side note I don’t recall gerrard arriving with a bag full of management experience. Barry like gerrard does know how to be a leader at a big club not the single most important factor but it matters.

Great show, Hoggy. Rangers are the love of my life. To the point my lovely daughter says ‘you do love me more than Rangers, don’t you’ and I always say of course then she does a Larry David Curb close eye lock. 😅

I just can't agree with Beale returning. He was a 100% bullshitting used car salesman. The only manager that after 5 minutes of his 1st Presser I turned off the TV. He shouldn't even be allowed to come to Ibrox to watch a game again imho. Put us back 3 seasons in his short spell. Got the job as his pal was Bisgrove.

I can confirm that IF indeed the magic trees were reported to the police they have (sensibly) done nothing about it as they haven't (yet) turned up at my door to arrest my son (the heinous culprit!). But it wouldn't surprise me if a non-crime hate incident is logged and they do turn up... 🥴🤣
