Hoggy is back and is joined by Alan Bradley, John Cowden and Cammy Bell to introduce a rather special Rangers Life - Ian Hogg Senior.

Hoggy's dad would never come onto the Hamper, saying "who would want to listen to my story?" We're going to bet "plenty".

This is the first in three shows to cover a very special Rangers Life.

What a fantastic line-up of podders to do justice to your father's memories Ian. Great to hear John again in particular.

Sandy Maclarty

Excellent way to mark your Dad’s life Hoggy. I know my Dad would feel the same as “who would want to listen to me” so your Dad’s not alone there. Don’t think my Dad would have the stories yours has though.

Pondo Sinatra

Great listen. Condolences Hoggy, to you & your family.🙏🇬🇧

Derek Johnston

Very sorry for your loss Hoggy, thoughts are with you and the family. More than certain yourself and the guys will do him justice!

David Baillie

Great pod lads. Some terrific memories to treasure of your dad Hoggy. The Kai Final was my first game. I was at many of the games Alan and John talked about. Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 🤨 Great to hear Staedtler and Waldorf back together. 🤨😂 WATP.

Bob MacCallum

Brilliant show, lads. Great tribute to Mr Hogg. This really brought back all sorts of memories for me as I started going to Ibrox in 1960. In 1962, when St Mirren beat Celtic at Ibrox in that Cup semi, I was " watching cars" in the Wine Alley, just off Broomloan Rd. When Celtic fans started returning to their cars miles early we were shocked by the score ( and secretly delighted) Happy days! Looking forward to part 2 of this show. Well done.

With the match today, I want to listen to this tomorrow so I can hear all of the show at once. I'm sure it will bring back my own memories of my dad, the man who introduced me to Rangers FC. I once read a cracking book called Our Rangers Heroes. For many of us, there is a Rangers hero more important than any player or manager. It's the guy who brought us up with irreplaceable memories of Rangers past, and whose influence guarantees we will bring up future generations of Rangers supporters. I never had the privilege of meeting Mr Hogg senior, but I know he will have been a true Rangers Hero.

So sorry for your loss Hoggy. I lost my grandfather a couple of years ago after a relatively lengthy time in hospital. I know his difficult and painful it is to have to keep going into the hospital and see your loved one unwell, and the rest of your family hurting. This is a brilliant idea for a show! Your old man will have seen so much over the years following the team. I loved hearing my grandfathers stories about going to Ibrox, and to cup finals at Hampden when there were 120k standing on the terraces. Talking about many of the same players from your dad’s stories. This is what Rangers is really about. Family and passing the club down through the generations. You’ve done him proud retelling all these games and stories!

Craig Kerr

Condolences to you and your family, Hoggy.

Colin Gardner

Hi Ian, Firstly I'm so sorry for your loss. if it wasn't for our fathers we wouldn't be Rangers fans it's as simple as that. My own Dad is unwell and I can't help but think back to my memories with him like you.

Trev @JimmyBell_Loyal

So sorry Hoggy, I’m glad you have these fabulous memories to cherish. He sounded like some guy, proper bear!

Calum Robertson

Hoggy, you said sorry for being a bit self indulgent no need to apologise that was a great listen

Ran1gers

Sorry for your loss Hoggy but at least you’ve got these great memories of your old man. Thanks for sharing them.

Rab Ross

Not gonna say the obvious but thank you so much for sharing. Yes, lots of us want to hear your story 💙

Gregg

Great tribute to your old man hoggy - and with the angels he’ll be singing….

Tom

Great show and an excellent tribute to your dad Hoggy, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss😢

Rona Bluebell

Oh Hoggy, that was marvellous and such a loving tribute 💙

John Walker

Great stuff lads, my old man was just slightly older than yours Ian so the memories resonate with me. Well done to Alan and John , I've done pods with them as regards some of these games and certainly Easter road is one I would love to revisit. Finally I pass on my condolences for the loss of your Father he was obviously a good ( bear) and has passed this legacy down to yourself .

AndyK70

Hoggy, if I could revisit three games they would be Skol cup final 86. Best atmosphere I've ever encountered, David Cooper wins the Cup for Rangers against 'them' 74,219 we definitely had 37219!

AndyK70

Second game Rangers 7 Hibs 0 1995. Everyone remembers Gazza issuing a yellow to the ref and his goal of the season. I particularly enjoyed the Copland singing "Scotland's number two" to Jim Leighton as Andy Goram laughed his socks off up the Broomie end! 😄

AndyK70

Game 3 was a coin toss between my first game, home v Dortmund in 1982, full house 2-0 win but I"ll plump for first old film game, August 86, Coopers sublime pass to Durranty for the winner. Incredible atmosphere. Where we were sat in the Govan Front, near "them" we had guys in their seventies literally dancing on the seats and hour before kick off singing "We've got Ally, @#&£ yer Mo"

AndyK70

Pre match old firms were brilliant back then as you'll remember Lot of fans in early and no crappy loud music to drown out the songs

Jim Milne

What a wonderful and beautiful pod Hoggy. Looking forward to Part 2. Very sorry for your loss. 💙

Paul Coulter

Obviously sending love to you and family. What an amazing thing to do 4 ur dad

Iain Shaw

Sorry for your loss Hoggy, and condolences to all your family. Great tribute to your dad, and John and Alan are always a good listen. Looking forward to part two.

Darren Littlejohn

Thanks for sharing Hoggy. I lost my Dad 14 years ago and I still think of him and his stories. All the best 💙

Jamie

Great pod Hoggy (and the other guys). A little different from the usual hamper. Looking forward to the next installment.

John Hood

Lost my Dad in 2015 and cherish the memories I had with him going to Rangers matches and watching them on the tv. A very emotional listen Hoggy. Thank you 🇬🇧
