You all know the draft rules by now.

Martyn, David & Adam are back with a Main Event special.

Build the ultimate Champions League XI… but only using players who featured between 1992 and 1995.

  • Will someone take Romário early?

  • Does Litmanen or Stoichkov go first?

  • And who gambles by leaving out Maldini or Seedorf too long?

Goram would get in my team too. Well done Martyn lad! Great pod and great memories.

I thought Michael Laudrups name might have entered the conversation.

Outwith Milan, so many of these players are from one season only. Ajax, PSG and Bayern with one appearance each. That 94/95 seasons competition was my favourite as a kid, I was 12 in summer '94. After a world cup which I loved and saw so much of, this was just a continuation of that growing love of football. It may actually be my favourite version of the champions League.
