Have the new regimes PR guys played a blinder? Keep it tight, seed some names to get some interest, create a non-existent competition between 2 leading candidates to keep the clicks and comments rolling, separate the preferred candidate from the field and put him up against the one nobody wants, introduce the old board into discussions to sharpen the focus. Top it off by stringing it out that long that we’re all that desperate for a resolution we greet the news with real positivity for the guy who was getting the job all along? Maybe just too cynical in my old age.

I'm amazed at how much importance the newspapers are given in discussions about news. They have a pitiful circulation now, the numbers for which which are almost certainly inflated. Who actually gives a fck what Keith Jackson or his peers think about anything? The Record is apparently selling 44,000 copies a day which means that the opinions of these idiots are heard by fewer people than hear the PA at Ibrox for a home game. They're insignificant in the modern media and we should ignore them.
