It is the first winter of the Premier League era and Cantona-inspired Manchester United are really finding their feet. Norwich City aren't easily dismissed and nor are the real threat to that elusive title, Ron Atkinson's Aston Villa. Goals galore, an important injury, some love for Ipswich, a little Ndlovu for Coventry and a great deal for Paul McGrath.

I just knew there would be an ‘as was the style at time’ kudos. Were we ever linked or close to signing John Wark? He was only a year older than Hurlock when we signed him at the time when we were rumoured to be in for Vinnie Jones

Great first 3 shows , just thought id add a comment on Teddy Sheringham , I always thought him as a modern day " kenny Dalglish " not blessed with pace but didn't need it as he was 2 seconds ahead of the defenders he cam up against , also very unselfish but knew exactly when to be the support striker who would create many goals for the team and bar my Leeds bias had fondness for " players " and Sheringham was a huge favorite , was always surprised that someone of his footballing brain never made it in management

Ps , around this time I think Leeds City Council owned Elland Rd and im sure Leeds Rugby League played there also , pitch was always terrible round this time
