In this episode of PsycholoGers Dr. Alex is in the hot seat with James in the co-host chair take some time to reflect and react to everything that has happened since the previous two episodes.

At the time of recording the deal to make Kevin Muscat the new manager had just fallen through, and since recording Rangers have appointment a new man to the Rohl of Head Coach.

This may not be the most academic PsycholoGers episode to date, but James and Alex raise a number of points as part of much more emotional and unstructured discussion, seeking to understand where Rangers Football Club are going wrong beyond the recruitment of a series of unsuccessful managers and head coaches.

Was Russell Martin just the tip of the iceberg?

Should the new owners seek to appoint more ex-playing/managing Rangers men to advise them at board level?

Is there a cultural issue inside the dressing room?

‘Is there a cultural issue inside the dressing room?’ I saw a clip of our 90’s era team celebrating a league title win by singing Follow Follow and having a buzz, and it saddened me that we’ll probably never see that sort of Rangers-related feeling in a team again. I don’t mean as in celebrating a title, although it feels that way atm 😂, but as in a team of real rangers men who’d die for this club. I don’t like how football is going in general, just feels different now.

Thanks for a great show. Not convinced that McInnes was ever a runner this time around
