It’s a fantastic video about John’s work with the disabled members of the support. I know it was a shambles when they were building it, but the viewing platform is exactly the sort of facilities needed around the stadium. If they can work out logistics better, then they should pursue the plans they had for the other stands in maybe a few years time. Wait until we’ve won a few league titles in a row first. Regarding Souness picking Clement, it’s overstating his position during the process, but he was the best candidate at the time, who was totally let down. By a board who clearly lied to his face about budgets, and never informed him about players running contracts down either. We were a shit-show, end of story. It seems ridiculous that because of an incident 45 years ago, nobody is allowed to drink in a stadium watching Scottish football. I was ten when it happened and have never had a legal drink in a stadium in my life up here, yet I can have a pint anytime in England. It’s long overdue to lift this ban and let people take responsibility. If they mess up then they will never get the chance to do it again. This needs a broad trial across the game now for a season, and then they can review it in May.

Not sure I agree with the alcohol at football idea. Think it’s a bit pointless if you can’t have it while in your seat watching the game. Drinking on the concourse isn’t much different than drinking in Edmiston House.
