Scudded. Scunnered. Fair play for the upload lads

William Black

Too soon for me but fair play lads. Tactics were a shambles, again, and the team had no spirit until Jack came on.

Mandy Lifeboat.

Honeymoon’s definitely over for Gio & let’s be honest it’s been shite for a while.

Alan Herron

Better you than me, I'm away for a few days isolation!

Alan Henderson

well done to the bears who watched the second half.

Sandy Fraser

If some players aren’t up for the fight we clearly have infront of us they need to be honest so we can play people who have. They can sit on the sidelines to the summer, we need 11 warriors on the pitch every game until the end of the season now.

Andy

The managers tactics set us up to fail from the start

Greg

Don’t know if I can listen 😢😢

Elaine Campbell

Fair play guys. We're listening, thanks for doing this

Greg

Alarm bells are ringing for me, big time

Jason Allan

Sitting deep so early on with that line up showed we went in with a weak mentality. Can’t argue with the result. Individuals lost too many battles. Game on now. Are they hungry enough?

Alan Cowan

Our real team problems were masked by the Aaron Ramsey circus. It took our eye off the real problems with our team and that's the full back areas. Has been for a while now. I'm not picking on Tavernier for any other reason that he is not Rangers class. I know he had a fabulous season scoring goals, but if GVB is a more defensive formation then him and Barasic are fucked , cause they can't defend. They are fuckin useless at it.

Fraser86

So is it ok to raise concerns about the board lack of ambition and foresight, is it ok to day the new manager hasn't quite grasped it even tho he played the game, is it fair to say a manager made 3 subs at half time because he didn't get it right, tactics out the window they were aloud to get nto our box free of charge

Neil McWhirter

Hard to take any positives apart from that wasntb5 or 6 tonight. Really poor tonight.

Ally Mair

Celtic blew out their arse as we knew they would in 2nd half but damage was done in 1st

Gazza_Hendo

Sorry lads don’t have the stomach for this just now.. will listen tomorrow 🙈

Tamus

Gutless Shitebags - James Tav worst Captain weve ever had.

Jamiedinho

We were so wasteful all over the park. Could have easily scored in the 2nd half but most passes were overhit or poor decision making.

Neil McWhirter

A just hope to fuck Aaron Ramsey hits the ground running.

Brian Rae

GVB just threw the players under the bus on Sky. Unfortunately, I think you'll have to ask him the same question again, David. Did he really not send the players out to play that way? We couldn't have played into their hands anymore than we did. Our players all sat off and allowed them to on to us. Have they stopped listening to him? That's a bigger problem.

Steve Snedden

We've been hoodwinked. Gio's tactics are incompatible with this group of players. The whole point of succession planning is that transition should be as seamless as possible and we needed someone who had a similar methodology. We went for someone who was available, affordable and knew the club. That was Pedro/Murty -esque

Craig

Thank goodness we have Alfie coming back, but our defence needs shored up! That tonight was pathetic!

Jack Fletcher

a lot of us know that if you go to the Scumdome and defend from the start you will lose. (i.e. Gerrard did this in the past once and never did it again) Did Gio not know this?

David Hart

Spineless performance

Keith Kettlewell

Let me state if only the rangers team showed the bolloks you lads have tonight we might have had a chance

James

Celtic players look like they buy into their manager and his tactics. I’m not sure about our players with Gio. Team formation and selection all wrong, at least for the first 40 or so minutes. Some players just not good enough. We just need to cling on now like the other lot did earlier in the season and see where we are come the next OF.

Tamus

Why the fuck play a left back at centre back when theres a centre back on the bench. Keeping the Zero? Couldnae keep weans oot a close - 6 goals in two games - gio get your finger out your hole. You arrived with a 4 point lead - we are now 1 behind

IT14

Disgusted with that first half - astounding that it was given a full half before changes were made. Schoolboy stuff

Graham Morrison

Mental tactics with a bizarre team selection. However the players were a disgrace. Most didn't want to be there. Shat it.

Graeme Dempster

As bad as tav was... borna looked terrified! Fuming

Colin Mathie

Disgusting, the manager/players shat it tonight.

John stoddart

Our two fullbacks have to be attacking because they can’t defend. That midfield ensured we got ran over because that’s not one to sit in at all. Huge question marks over the manager he looks lost.

Garry kirkwood

Hopefully the last we see Borna. Passenger for a season and a half.

Tamus

Kent is missing his scouse boyfriend and should be shipped out the door asap. Hes given up. Fucking shyster

George Mclachlan

Worried is an understatement. We have players to come in that will hopefully change this but these changes need to happen asap.

Stephen Grant

Kent and Barisic do not deserve to start on Sunday after that

jason hart

At the scumdome they'll use the width and push high .. we've got 2 full backs that don't particularly like defending and if we're honest not that good at defending (ironically Patterson is a good defender) we really need a striker .. roofe just isn't the man to play up top himself at the scumdome .. hes good inside the box but on a big park hes lost.. even alfie this is a Columbian international (well I guess that's another discussion) he should be scoring every week in the SPL Kent bang average.. very poor defensively.. we just don't see enough from him these days but in the last 2 mins of game it sums him up .. beats a few with great footwork then gives away the ball and throws his hands in the air Goldsons body language is stinking .. very quick to critisice on the positives .. or positive .. Jack .. looked very good But listen this game won't make or break the season ... Ramsey will hopefully be sensational But to finish the main disappointment was the lack of passion and bite ... before the game I was watching a clip of games gone bye with c*ltic players falling like bowling skittles

Andrew Hind

Disgusting all of them! If they are not up for it then fuck off!!

Doug Young

Kent has been awful all season. Defence a nonsense. Surely an overhaul for Sunday. This was abysmal but hopefully a wake up call.

Gregg

Hopefully we don’t see kamara as a holding player again - we need to have a base to build attacks from!! So open in the middle of the park.

Robert Bradley

Tactically inept. Can't become bad players over night. Play with a midfield formation to go on the front foot and then sit in from first minute. Barasic shocking...again!! Had players to play over the top of their high press but never utilized it. Three goals were horrendous again!

Andrew Hillis

We were disgraceful tonight! Utter garbage! Gio is under real pressure tonight btw! What exactly are his tactics! Go back and watch Tavs press conference - flat flat flat!

Mr J K Murray

we hit der bar, hic, & played like it, hic, they must have some medical bill, Motherwell will probably beat them, its not new these preformances unfortunately ,paying fan deserves better, so nieve this evening, listening to Mr Mccccoist comentary, prefer the babbling sounds of an infant.

Simon Botterill

Predictable. When all the fans are begging not to sit back and be passive and play in to Celtic's tactics, you have to question the ability of the manager tactically on such an obvious error. I thank Tav for all he has given and hopefully what he will give but he is an extremely poor on field captain, as a club we are soft in leadership, that has to change asap. Whether it's in the league or in Europe our naviety/lack of game management has continued to be a major issue under both Gerrard and now Gio, we are a soft touch with some technically good players.

True Blue .

Hope you have a few questions for the manager David.

Will McAulay

The worst 45mins I have witnessed for a long time. Can't take anything away for the second 45 as they had put their slippers on.

Doug Young

Ryan Jack gave a 45 minute captain's display.

8luenose1872

I think Kent and kamara are in the huff coz they didn't get a move, they look like their not giving a fk

CRAIG CASSELLS

Probably the worst performance since Celtic were taking the piss out of Murty's sides.

Graeme Dempster

Totally agree with Colin.. I can't see anyway back for borna. Disgraceful performance!

David cation

Borna barasic was almost the death of me tonight. At 5 minutes my temple started throbbing, by the time he was sitting on his arse in the 6 yard box at the third goal, I swear to Christ I thought I was done. It may be hyperbole, and the rage, but really don’t want to see him again. Mostly for the sake of my health.

David Bold

Celtic are better than us in almost every position. Quite remarkable considering that squad was largely assembled over a few weeks. My feeling is that this result will have long-term implications on GVB's reign as manager.

Martin Davies

We all knew what the piggery was going to be like tonight after the nature of the results at the weekend and this being the first time in a long while they have fans at an OF match. We were rabbits in the headlights. Spot on comparing Borna with Ricksen, he was really bad but not one of the starting 11 get pass marks. Timid, passive, fearful, characterless, gutless, cowardly, leaderless. And lacking a cohesive game plan. A night to forget.

William Hughes

In that game showing fight is a basic requirement. The lack of heart is unfucking acceptable. We need our snap and tempo back.

Neil Wilson

Listened just now. Poor. Didn't look up for the battle, which is a must in these games. First goal shouldn't stand due to a head knock. McGregor makes a few good saves to keep us in it. The pass for the Arfield chance was a tad heavy and then they score 2 goals quickly. Second half, the subs that came on did a lot better. Jack was very good. We can't carry passengers in the team. The players need to be fully committed and focused. Lets hope for a strong reaction on Sunday.

KAD87

For me: - you can get away with getting it tactically wrong if your key/best players are on it. Ours weren’t - tactically it definitely was wrong. Why play an attacking team in a defensive structure? Sets us up to play to their strength, if you lose an early goal in an old firm, you often shit the bed. We shat the bed. - easy in hindsight, but if Ryan jack was fit enough for 45 minutes, he should have played the first 45. - I don’t think the players are bought in to what he is trying to do…after tonight I don’t blame them. - how many ‘new to the job’ rangers managers need to lose their first old firm to learn that sitting off them at Parkhead is not the way to beat them at Parkhead

T5

A stroll for them, we did well to get away with just 3.

chris smith

Car crash post-match from Gio btw … worrying

David Smart

I can’t believe no one is mentioning mcgregor at the 3rd goal. The ball is a floated cross lands at abadas feet just inside the six yard box for me that’s a keepers ball all they way he coulda caught it or punched if anything he wanted to do really.

David Hanlon

You cannot go from +6 to -1 and expect to win the league. We have to win the next 10 games because they won't be dropping any points. Tactics wrong. Team wrong. Too many of our players haven't kicked a ball since the break. Sorry but we are back to if Alfie's not playing we haven't got a striker. Just truly discussed with the team.

James McCabe

I fear these players aren’t as good as the majority of us think they are, I sorry to say.

Colin Mathie

Gio needs to change his ways, he's far to defensive.

jamie sinclair

New manager bounce we had before winter break is now gone. It's all a bit of a worry.

Bruce Melrose

Biterally disappointed, losing an old firm game happens to most Rangers player's in their time at the club but losing one without putting up a fight rarely does.... Tonight's performance, particularly the first half, was probably the worst I've seen in terms of fight, spirit and will to win in a very, very long time. I'm not wanting red cards but certainly a few yellows, venom in tackles and an absolute desire to win every single battle on the pitch.... I didn't see anything from our player's that suggested this was a battle or probably more importantly a team willing to leave everything on the park defending their title... The margin for error in retaining the title is becoming slimmer by the week and realistically this team have to realize that there maybe isn't any more margin for error. On that performance there's no way we're getting full points from Hearts and Hibs . Only positive I can take is the return of Jack and hopefully Davis,Hellander and Ramsey.... Watp.

Allan

Felt like Warburton and Pedro days all over again.

Nathan

It felt like I stepped out of a time machine and back into 2016

Allan

+6 to -1 That's a reality someone needs to be asking Gio about.

Allan

There's no press to ask tough questions only fan media and it's about time fan media started asking the tough questions.

stefan strzelecki

Been talking a weakness in Rangers leadership in these games . I mentioned Jack and Ramsey as our primary cm’s on the transfer pod. There is an evident lack of physical fitness within our team too. You need to be sharp first and last 45. I wish to make this point . I don’t think that Celtic would have performed like that under the pressure of a packed SPFL game against us at Ibrox on a wet Wednesday night . All of this is relative too. Throw in the new coach trying to install his ideals in a short time. The result and performance can be understandable to a point.

Allan

It's about The Zero. We had it tonight big time.

Leslie Hibbert

How can Gio not get it? Fucking horrendous, no more kid gloves. What the fuck are you playing at?! Apologies, it's a fucking gutter tonight, but fuxk me, was it a shock?!?!

Gavin

We have enough quality players to field a team but with Gio looking for Width then that gives us the challenge where you start to wonder if he drops Kent (as he should) who plays wide left. We seen tonight why Diallo doesn’t play for United and he is not the answer wide right so instantly Gio’s main tactic of threat from genuine width is a challenge. We would get a turn from Davis, Jack, Aribo, Ramsay, Arfield, Morelos. Kamara has done enough in the past, Lowry looks a player, Roofe is solid and consistent enough. The problem is they are all central and our options from the wings are a huge concern and pivotal to what Gio claims is one his main tactical threats. A genuine worry for me.

Fraser Black

Great point re Kamara David, looks completely lost when asked to be the main CDM in bigger games. I always thought he could be the natural replacement for Davis in that role, but after tonight no chance . . . I actually thought tonight was crying out for Davis & or Jack next to him. And Aribo got put on RW for these games for a reason under Gerrard. Passes him by when in CM

Leslie Hibbert

Fucking beyond garbage. Fucking hell it hurts

Gordon Smith

Anyone got Rino Gatusso’s phone number?

Lynn Houston

Seriously what was that? Outthought, outplayed, outmuscled = OUTRAGED Kent, gangster rapper my arse, more like crapper! Kamara, wake up, get involved or go👉 . Barisic, why?? All wet their pants and went crying to their mammies. Two points from 3 games..NO. Do your job, we do ours. Gio you’re all under pressure now, tactically that was a mess. Change it now!

Cal macleod

Kudos to you boys putting shows together after that debacle , easy job when we are winning , but all I want to do is real into a hole after that game , not talk about it on a podcast

Craig Stevens

WTF are you supposed to say after a non performance like that from us ? Big thanks to Colin, David an Cammy for doing a Pod after that utter shit-show, thanks lads. That was fu%^in devastating from Gers tonight an' I'm taking the next 2 days off from everything.... can't sleep, hence the comment at 01.20 in the morning...

Spoon

Great listen guys, just what was needed. Can’t disagree with any of it and really frustrating to see the same players letting us down over the course of this season. No doubt on our day we are good but those days are few and far between this year. Big shake up needed and sentiment must go out the window in terms of the players, never mind what you have done in the past or occasionally time to look at who is up for it now.

Lee

If I had shown that performance in my everyday job I’d be getting an employment review.

Alastair Woodford

Difficult to imagine this team having a sudden change in mentality that will see us fight for the title.

Al-WATP

Where to start ? From the back I suppose… unfortunately for me Greegsy is done, i love the guy but I’ve thought it for a while now and I think this is a season too far, he’s not been great with several goals this season including tonight , the full backs were absolutely horrendous as were the centre backs - Goldson isn’t as good as he thinks he is and unfortunately Bassey isn’t as good as i thought he was. Tav had a mare and Borna’s performance was rank rotten. Midfield is completely non existent and powder puff, can’t remember the last time it dominated a game. Kent has offered nothing for months and is looking like a waste of 7m. Yes on his day he’s brilliant , but “on his day” only happens what once in 5 or 6 and when you’re playing for Rangers in the SPL that’s not acceptable. Aribo is our POTY so far and turns up more than Kent but does have a tendency to go missing too often and last night he was AWOL. Roofe - had zero service. Diallo - a young guy, first OF I guess you cut him some slack but he barely touched the ball. As regards tactics, this whole sitting back pish doesn’t work. All the top teams in the world play with a high press to get the ball back- we wait until it’s in or around our 18 yard box before we challenge and even then it looks half arsed. Given Gio’s reported previous involvement with the city group I was genuinely hoping for a Man City style approach to our play when he arrived (obviously not expecting the same quality) yet Gio’s tactics seem to be to allow the opposition the ball !?!? And as David said we didn’t track any runs which was just crazy. I think most fans were happy with our starting 11 as it looked like we were going to go for it , but we never did. We are the champions. All we needed was a couple of top quality signings to improve our starting 11. They needed a complete rebuild. We rested on our laurels. They were by far the better team in all areas - front, middle, back, tempo, intensity, press. We were miles off it. We were concerned before the transfer window about Gerrard coming in for some of our players - easy to see why he didn’t.

Al-WATP

Totally agree David. When Ferguson had a winning team at Man Utd, he always made sure he brought in at least a couple of players each summer who were better than what they had to improve the team. We didn’t. They have massively improved and we haven’t and it was shown last night. They looked a far better team than us in every department

Chris McArthur

That looked like a chnaging of the guard last night, its obviuously not over but all the momentum is with that lot and I simply do not see where our inspiration is coming from right now. Ryan Jack could be that guy but if he can stay fit, which is the big question.

Andrew Whiteside

Not sure what the manager can do when the key players that one a championship are to a man out of form. Big questions to be asked and answered.

Ross Monro

Settle down. It's only one point and wev big names to come back in. Fil, Alfie, ramsey. Needs to start now though.

Lee Grant

Good to hear cammy back on pods 💆🏻 I’ve missed you and your unrivalled knowledge of the reffing game. Barasic last night was a big worry for me, he’s played at the piggery before but it looked like he’d just been thrown in with no clue how to play football 🤦🏻‍♂️ we will see if they have learnt there lesson on Sunday as hearts will come for us and hibs even more so, no panic stations just yet, let’s see what this team and coaching staff are all about.

David Bold

Although I have serious doubts on the manager, we should also remember that he inherited a squad of players who had delivered 1 out of 10 trophies. Come May, we will quickly realise just how unacceptable that return really is.

James McDonald

It was fucking awful I'd rather sit in work and shit myself than watch that dross again.

Robert Atkinson

We’ve shipped 6 goals in 2 games. Something has to change in the way we defend.

Graham Miller

Leaving aside yesterday shambles I think our real issue all season has been our poor conversion of chances to goals. Saturday a prime example after 3-2 up. Same against Livi. We are also playing a different system than we did prior to the break. Individual errors costing us big time. Do we need an Archie Knox type character in back room to kick arses

Graeme Brown

Can I just point out that our performances have gone off a cliff since Cammy’s come back to the network. I’m not one to jump to conclusions, but surely the evidence speaks for itself…

james Baxter.

Good summation and good to hear Cammy's dulcet tones again. Feel Arfield didn't get enough credit, he was everywhere and his desire was obvious in a team devoid of effort and ideas, I'd absolve him and only him of any criticism.

james Baxter.

In the first half when the game was lost I should have mentioned, obviously Jack and Balogun improved us greatly.

Scott Davies

What happens to our team at this stage of the season? We always seem to hit the skids in January/February. I still think we'll win the league but need to fix the mistakes quickly

John Hutchison

If this was just some players out of form and some changes would sort it out, then fair enough. Unfortunately for us, it is that AND a tactical change that required and my fear is that it could take a while longer than we've currently got, to produce results. Over to you Gio.

Steven Harvey

Just managed to bring myself to listen to this. Horrendous to watch last night. I can’t remember any game this season when I have been standing with my mates at Ibrox at half time where we’ve played really well, got a decent lead and the 2nd half is a formality but Celtic go and do that to us!!!! Baffling

Laura McCrimmon

Just listening to this the now couldn't listen last night lol. Agree with everything that was said, so many guys just not giving 100% and seasoned pros not doing the basics. Kamara is one that I have issued with for weeks just strolling about midfield not doing much and watching him jog behind his man at 2nd goal was the last straw for me. He deserved hook at half time. Borna too has been poor losing his man or not closing down a cross has been a problem for weeks too. We just didn't look up for it and that infuriates me. I will try remain calm and say its not over, its only a point but for me to have belief I need the players too also show belief and have the hunger I have for this title!

David Kiltie

A painful but cathartic listen. Thank you, guys. You mention something I had been thinking about earlier today - losing two goals in the space of a few minutes- last night, Saturday, both games against Malmo - must be a mental issue. The lineup was pretty much as expected - the last time we lost a league game to that lot there was the famous Gerrard selection curveball. Just a thought - should we have played with 2 central defensive midfielders to give a firmer spine? Many big players failed to show up. It will be interesting to see to what extent Gio wields the axe on Sunday. After the cup semi final fiasco we hit a really good run. Let’s hope we can repeat that. Also, a few months back Celtic were hailed as invincible but then dropped unexpected points at home to Livi and away to St Mirren. There may be some twists and turns yet.

Ian Donaldson

Agree 100%. Totally baffling that it seems the chance to play in the CL and net potentially £40M for the club isn’t enough motivation.
