Wednesday night is gone, we must move forward and work to ensure that our target is met this season. Sunday brings the visit of an incredibly consistent Hearts side to Ibrox, as we aim to start a run of victories that will go a long way in healing the wounds we are all experiencing currently.

The Preview returns with Alex, Steven and Kevin.

Still reeling from Wednesday and indeed the last three weeks. Gutless. If we don’t come out with fight and pride on Sunday then at least half the squad can pack their bags and go now as this is not to the Rangers standard. I’m not convinced the players feel anything like the pain we do. Clinging to Jack and Ramsey changing this. Never been so down in years. Something needs to change.

Garry kirkwood

Yeah that goal v hearts a few years back was under craig levein

Rona Bluebell

You all deserve medals for still having the ability to make content. I cling to the post old firm rule that the winner often drops the points in the next match. My mother died many years ago. It may be a sign!

ian taylor

Still can't face it , will listen tomorrow

Kirk Guthrie

Guys can we quit beating the dead horse? How long are we going to winge about the bloody celtic game? Bloody move on already

Colin Carstairs

Wednesday was up there with the other dreadful performances/results we’ve had at their midden. That said the 1st 15-20 mins on Sunday will determine if this squad have the belief to A:Win the game & B: Can we go on a run of games to retain our title.

QB_72

The loss to them is down to the team lads not your predictions or assesment of previous results and teams form on here, you can only predict what maybe an outcome not guarantee anything. If only we had that sports almanac from back to the future lol. It's not over and we need to have more fight and guile now moving forward. As always thanks for the pod lads as you feel the same pain and bleed blue like we do. NS 🇬🇧

Goldson _ A billy big bollox who believes hes better than he is, he ran his contact down and expected the Prem to come calling in January. No one did. An utter shitebag who publIcally surrendered a semi final at half time, and who turned his back on two shots ON weds when they scored their 1st two. GHTF Coward

Agree with everything Steven Harrigan said

Iain Campbell

Steven summed up my feelings exactly. Alex, I think with all due respect, we know how they play, they are a decent attacking side but are vulnerable once you get in behind the press. Unfortunately we never exploited that. If that game had been played on the 2nd, as it should have been, we would have come away with a result, a draw at worst. They achieved their goal of not facing us on the 2nd.

stefan strzelecki

Agree with Alex. We as favs do need to recognise the reality of their strengths as a team. I think our team doesn’t have the fitness levels to play high intensity football at all. How that can be, is a mystery to me. With the facilities and sports performance resources at the training ground .

Andrew Finlayson

Mcgregor should be dropped. His positioning for their 2nd was awful and even the 3rd goal, should he have not came for it ? His distribution is awful, he never comes for a ball and yep made some saves on Wednesday but they were all straight at him. Mcgregor 21/22 is not a better keeper than Mclaughlin.

Kev Armstrong

2nd goal is a good hit and the player used the defender to blind the keeper. His kicking has never been the best and the fact we pass it back to him and let him lump it is prob more a failure on our defenders and midfielders than the goalie.

Andrew Finlayson

Aye decent hit but he offered way too much of that side of the goal. Thought it at the time and having seen it again, its just poor positioning. I just think Mclaughlin is a better option, Overall Mcgregor has had a poor season.

Great pod, agree with lots although a lot of the issue for me is some players who were overhyped last year have found their level again and our transfer policy just hasn’t been up to scratch for a number of windows which is all catching up on us. Not talking about spending huge sums but so much of what we brought in to play had spent more time out or on the bench than contributing and we must be able to find value that other teams seem able to. For example Look at the loans Ross County played in our last game, solid, energetic guys like Hungbo can’t be beyond our scouting surely ? One thing is for sure, the teams just below us like Hearts snd Hibs will smell blood and if we don’t stop feeling sorry for ourselves and roll up the sleeves we could be in for a bad time. It’s in our power to turn it around but belief seems sadly lacking in a team who put in a phenomenal shift last season. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

Mark

They bottled it as a group on Wednesday. Shat it from their fans and their players. Second half means zip when Celtic had stopped - embarrassing hearing Gio talk about us controlling the game when we were three down. I hope he is just attempting to spin some sort of positive from it because the alternative is him being completely deluded.

Al-WATP

Great show as always. One thing that has annoyed me since Wednesday and I’ve heard this mentioned on every Rangers fan media pod / post since is this suggestion that we played with a high press last season under Gerrard. We didn’t. I have a lot of concerns with Gio but this narrative suggesting we were almost Man City-esque in our press last season and that’s gone now is ridiculous. We never had a high press under Gerrard. Yes I agree under Gerrard we didn’t sit back and allow the opposition as much possession as we do now - and I think Gio’s strategy in this regard is very concerning - but we absolutely did not play with a high press under Gerrard. Look back to the first OF of the season - they completely dominated possession / the game. As I said, I’m definitely not convinced by Gio so far but we were absolutely not this high pressing team that people suggest we were

Al-WATP

Totally agree Andrew. Many are saying if it wasn’t for McGregor we’d have been down more but I think he should have been better with a couple of the goals and the saves he did make i would expect of any good goalkeeper. And I know he’s never been a goalie to come for crosses but he’s getting worse at that, crosses that are easily goalie’s ball he doesn’t come for. Love the guy to bits but we have to be honest here

William

We are not over reacting, this was a performance which was inept, cowardly and not worthy of most, if not all of that team wearing the famous blue jersey. The fact That we are in a title race, makes that shambolic performance even worse in my opinion I would play Lowrey tomorrow..

David Kiltie

Great programme, well done, Strider, Kev and Steve. I remember the dunting we received at their midden in February 2011. That lot and their fawning media lapdogs proclaimed the title as good as over. The next week they lost at Fir Park (one of many good things Stuart McCall did for us👍). An omen, perhaps?

David Kiltie

I don’t think fitness is an issue. Mentality was the problem on Wednesday. Celtic usually start like a train and fade in the 2nd half. The difference between the two halves was stark. Losing those two appalling goals late in the 1st half meant we couldn’t take advantage of their usual fading in the 2nd half.

Craig Mitchell

I agree with Strider, the only as good as your last game never sits well with me. Probably because it's a nonsense and means in theory, no one is ever allowed a bad game and if they do it's baby and bathwater time. I've always been fascinated that a huge number of football supporters remember the last game or two, then nothing for ages and then the further back in time we go - particularly to our youth - things were always better. That's nostalgia though I know. This new gen of 'EPL' supporters are the worst for this. You'll have folk telling you Bruno Fernandes is better than David Silva and will die on that hill.

Doug Maclean

Ridiculous pod. The crowd influenced the players ? The players were completely out of form ? Playing as bad as we have seen this group ? They had no idea what they were doing ? Not as good as they think ? Only there for the money ? Beginning of the end ? All total rubbish. That guy McCartney has no future and is the one who should get dropped

Doug Maclean

I’ve been working like a dog Kev

Ally Mair

How can those points be total rubbish doug ? We have a group of players that are not playing as good as they can and off course crowd can have an influence the hairs on back of my neck were standing up at old firm game in August fans can play a huge part . Its easy to say their professionals but there human aswell . We had to try ride out the opening 20 mins and their fans would have calmed down . As for some of the players , they are living of last season im thinking of Kent barasic kamara etc

Doug Maclean

I don’t think Kent played at Shea Stadium Ally
