Administration began to bite in March 2012 as players left and others took wage cuts. Injuries added to the problems and Rangers struggled as unfamiliar lineups lost matches to Hearts and Dundee United. However, when Celtic came to Ibrox intending to win the league on our patch, the players stood up and put in a superb performance.

Join David, Stuart and Rob as they continue to chart Ally McCoist's spell as Gers boss.

Back of 7 walking to work. Think I better keep away from traffic!

These are cathartic and informative. At that point factors in my life away from Rangers were more demanding on my time. I didn't get to any of these games

Tom McDavid

Wonder how much would have been different if HMRC had got their way with the administrators

Gordon Mac

Often wondered the same, and to think most took it as a positive HMRC did not get their way

Damien Stubbs

Thanks for doing these gents! I wasn’t mature enough to fully appreciate all of this at the time, great to hear your perspectives and also be able to apply what I know now to this period of our history.

William Ross

IIRC even the expected points deduction was applied with a haste that had never been previously seen before.

Stuart brown

It’s a tough listen but it’s a necessary listen, enjoy Robs input(you must be able to put a show or 2 up of inside workings).

If HMRC had got there way I doubt very much if we would be where we are now. Everything would have been sold Ibrox, training ground , furniture and fittings the lot. I think it’s clear there was a plan in place with D&F and certain other persons , I doubt if that’s illegal as D&F were an enormous company with lawyers up to their arses. The failed prosecution of them was botched because they were not the real targets. The real targets were Rangers , if the prosecution had been successful there would have been a call , to rewind the administration and we would be gone. In my opinion of course.

I had hospitality in Club Europe for the Old Firm match, and my dad took my ticket for the enclosure. Its was a very enjoyable and extremely drunken day, and provided some relief from the constant gloom.

Paul Dunnachie

D&F clearly packaging up a functioning football club for incoming Spivs but as was mentioned on the pod - things like the training ground, and God knows what else, being put up for sale SHOULD have happened. For a moment the medium-term objectives of club & Spivs just about aligned. HMRC take control of Administration and given what appears to have been the motivation behind a lot of their actions, then there wouldn’t have been a much left to play in the lower leagues.

This for some reason is becoming my favourite show. I can remember backing Ally all the way until the Championship and often see comments on my Timehop from around the time and it looked like I was a lone wolf so listening back I keep thinking was I blinded by Ally the player but so far in this series I'm still 100% behind him and don't know what else he could have done as I firmly believe the off field shenanigans and injuries had more to do with our collapse that season.
