Never mind being one of the most memorable results in our history, the real significance of the Dortmund match was in the extraordinary milestones in the preview predictions stakes 😄 First time anyone has predicted a loss all season, glad to say that there's a 0% success rate of predicting losses Second time all season that nobody predicted a Rangers win after everyone (correctly) predicted a draw away to Lyon Alex's prediction of a 3 goal loss was outperformed by 5 goals, but is slightly worse than Kev's two previous predictions that were out by 5 goals (Alashkert 6-0 vs 1-0, Motherwell 1-1 vs 6-1) because a loss is 'two results' out from a win and earns the distinction of the least accurate prediction of the season

A win at Tannadice would make it 5 wins in a row for the first time this season. We have done 4 wins in a row three times so far, and all of them have been under Gio It would also be the ninth league match on a Sunday that we've won in a row, and the twelth unbeaten, this season. We did 8 league wins on Sundays in a row last season between Motherwell on 27th September and Aberdeen on 10th January before slipping up going back to Fir Park on 17th January so let's go one (to start with!) better tomorrow

McLaughlin isn't in the euro squad lads

Enjoyed this Preview even more than usual, can't image why! Massively impressive for you to be recording on the night of the match and be able to control your emotions enough to focus on this not being the high point of the season. That's absolutely correct and is the exact sort of winning mentality the players and management need to embrace. It was a sensational and historic result and always will be but it can become a truly meaningful result too if we capitalise on it with the right mindset. Really good discussion of Lundstram's "journey" with us so far too and in particular how the Slavia experience highlighted areas we were found out a little bit in. Along the same lines as Strider's thoughts on the Celtic result shaping Gio's thoughts on his players, in the blink of an eye Jack now looks like one of the most pivotal players in the team. Do you think he would have played Hearts/Dortmund if Kamara hadn't had such a tough first half against Celtic? Gio obviously brought him on at half time in that game so he was obviously at least high enough in his thoughts to be the preferred sub, but do you think he was already thinking that Jack would be a central player as soon as he was fit or has it just been a case of finding a diamond in the rubble?

I mess about with data mining from time to time for work so it's good to be able to use it for something useful for once 😀

Steven Harrigan

I think it's about chemistry and partnerships, him and Jack seem to just work and is tha simple. They compliment each other very well. Like Davis and Kamara did last season.

Scott Watson

I suspect you are absolutely right and these simple but profoundly important human aspects can be easy to overlook - or just not be visible from outside Whatever the magic is, it's been absolutely sensational and let's hope we see a whole lot more of it for the rest of the season

Essential listening the day before a game for me now! Cheers lads.

I thought I saw that hand ball, but to be honest I thought it was Goldson! To my great pleasure, i was mistaken. Great game! Let's hope we bring that energy back to the league tomorrow!

I'm probably wrong, so correct me if I am, but when you talked about Jon McLaughlin not being on the bench because he was being prepared for Sunday to give Alan McGregor a rest. I don't think he's in the European squad because Robby McCrorie counts as one of our homegrown players. Either way, I agree, Jon McLaughlin will start on Sunday.
