Greg

Hoggys run comes to an abrupt end.

David Hanlon

Not good enough. We can't win a league dropping 6 points away from home. The ref was terrible but the league is slipped away. Any more points dropped and its done.

Lynn Houston

Look, Could’ve! Should’ve! didn’t. We are the Champions, now is the time to deliver! How much do we want it?? It’s all about the CL money for me. Personnel was good today, why are we not full on attack from first whistle? possession without aggression just doesn’t cut the mustard against these teams, just encourages them🙄We go again and never give up.♥️🤍💙and yes we were robbed….. more than once!

Monkspath Miko

Disagree that it was a stone wall pen for the handball as you’re all saying. I can see why it wasn’t given. The pull on sakala however was a stonewaller.

Gary Shaw

No more room for error from here on in…actually thought we played some good stuff and should really have had a few goals…Diallo is going to be one of those players that are bad for my blood pressure, shit himself in a tackle as soon as he came on,stopped for offside when about 3 players were playing him on and then passed up 2 glorious chances to give Sakala a tap in and fluffed his lines….another controversial point is that I don’t think Aribo stands up when the going gets tough in a lot of these games, yes he scored but he needs to bring so much more…Kent always seems to get it in the neck even though he constantly goes looking for it and takes the game to the opposition…

Neil Wilson

Poor finishing a side, we should have won today comfortably, however the officials made sure that didn't happen again. It will continue to happen until VAR is implemented or we call out the "mistakes." We've seen the corruption that runs through the SPFL, it really shouldn't be a surprise.

Dougie Jones

We should've had two pens and DU should be at least a man down. Disagree with some comments I've seen on twitter about Kent. I thought he was our best player. Aribo on the other hand was indifferent but scored the equaliser. On other days it would be the other way around. Just one of these things. We've had these games following a huge European win before. It is what it is. Can't fault the effort or desire whatsoever today. Shit happens, and we just need to keep plugging away.

Dougie Jones

On the VAR question - yes we should have it but we only have to look down south to see that it has been laughably far from ending refereeing controversy. I am not keen on the 'how can we forensically examine and disallow this goal that no-one objected to in real time' factor. I appreciate that this week - when we benefited from a VAR decision against Dortmund and rued its absence today - is not the time to be making a nuanced argument but that's my thoughts on it regardless :-)

Colin Mathie

We really need to start questioning the absolute crapness that is Scottish officiating, its an utter joke.

Paul

We never ever get a last minute winner. So frustrating

Jay

VAR will make little difference in this league. It'll be managed by the same halfwits that currently officiate at such an appalling standard. Professional, full time officials with the back-up of VAR is the only option to reduce this level of utter Fu*kwittery

Dougie Jones

yep. It's clear that we need to have it but just think people shouldn't see it as a panacea.

David Bold

I'm not surprised in the slightest. When it really matters, this squad, time after time prove they are losers. Just look at the hard facts, I.e. 1/11 trophies (updated today). Surely I wasn't the only one that treated the Dortmund result as meaningless? This game today mattered and once again, we could not deliver. If only the stadiums were empty again.

Allan Osborne

We should, but we won't. I'm sick of the dignified silence. They just laugh at us now. Today was a disgrace.

Maca82

Manager comes on rambles about VAR and no real specifics almost apologetic and now the media are pushing for Jack to get a retrospective ban. We are a shambles at managing the fallout from these games vs that mob who warn refs at a policy level. Leagues done.

Stuart cunningham

Cant believe we have bust a 6 point lead to basically a 4 point swing way goal difference we need to win every game now as I unfortunately can't see them dropping points to anyone bar us or livi as they always gee them a good game

Jack Mair

I was in line with the goal diallo should be fined for not squaring that across so selfish

Tamus

Time for greegs to be dropped, hes shoeing goals like never before

Tamus

Get diallo down the M6 tonight, absolute shite bag

Jamie Mann

Type of game that I wish we still had Defoe has an options. Our finishing is so poor in the crucial moments . Bloody frustration!!!!

Dougie Jones

That's not a fining issue. Stopping playing before he heard the whistle (when he thought he was offside) might be though.

KAD87

Strange one today but a couple of patterns we can’t deny. 1) Our friends across the city need a goal and get it. 2) We need a goal and don’t. It has been that way since the winter break. I think we’ve not strengthened enough while on top, and by signing two players in the January window (one nowhere near fit enough and one nowhere near experienced enough to deal with the moments of pressure) that are not ready to hit the ground running, we have let the ball drop. 3 points behind is not a disaster, but 3 points from 12 away from home is. I don’t share optimism for turning this around but I am a pessimistic c*nt lol.

Dougie Jones

It's a balance - McLaughlin or McCrorie would come out for crosses more, but would they make as many crucial saves as McGregor does, and be as commanding a presence as he is in the team? But I agree that it's becoming a question that needs answered.

Spoon

Far too many players in the team overhyped but under deliver for me. It’s like your not staunch if your not lauding bang ordinary players or worse players who make their names off a few games a season and then lack quality in most others. That being said the one guy who you would have wanted on the end of the chances today, Alfie, just had one of those days where no matter what he tried it wouldnt go in. Summed up by the shin connection which 99/100 times goes in but somehow hit keeper. Some really good stuff from Tav, Bassey, Lundstrum, Kent and Alf and still wondering how we didn’t win it based on how we played, we have been a lot worse and got the points.

Brian Rae

Can't give them any credit for that today. This was a must-win game and we didn't. At times we were sloppy in possession and wasteful on the final 3rd. At this stage in the season, draws are worthless. The club should go all out and demand VAR.

Graeme Brown

Sorry gents, but it frustrates the hell out of me when people say “let’s ignore that the ref didn’t make 2 (potentially 3) game changing decisions; we should still have won”. It’s impossible to play football that way. If we get one of those penalties or Mulgrew is sent off - as he should have been - it’s a completely different game. It’d be the same as the ref making up a penalty decision for Dundee United, or choosing to send Morelos off for “raising his hands” when he was booked. There is no preparing for that on the training field, and “toughening up”, or “employing the dark arts” won’t help with that either. You cannot win football games when officials choose to ignore the laws of the game.

Andy Barnett

I did make this point on the pod Graeme. Agree with you pretty much entirely here.

Graeme Brown

Sorry Andy; the post match was maybe a lightning rod for me making the mistake of lifting the lid on social media despite (like you) telling myself not to. Ordinarily I don’t really comment on here that often; it’s just a measure of how disappointed I am in the way results went today. Ps - hands up; I commented before listening to the whole podcast. Probably a lesson in there for me somewhere….

Allan Osborne

It's funny how none of these "honest mistakes" by the refs go against the scum isn't it? I can't remember the last time a controversial penalty or offside went against them. I'm sick of the refereeing standards. We really need to be pressurising these bastards more.

Graeme clunie

Back after some financial issues and I've come back to hoggy on the pod!!! Welcome back mate, when's the hamper? WATP 🔴⚪🔵

Harry McRandle

I have previously said elsewhere that Siegrest has been worth more than 12 point a season for DU. He cost us the two today with a couple of fantastic point blank range saves.

Graham Jones

If one good performance in four is enough from Diallo, then we shouldn’t be signing him. We should’ve had penalties, but we have to be too good for that to make any difference. The recent away record is a worry, but we can’t look at it like that. I was surprised that so many starters from Thursday were in from the start. We didn’t make the right decisions at the right time when we got into the final third, and that really cost us today. The league is still the target, but we need to be a bit more clinical if we are to retain it.

Craig Robertson

Good show. Personally, don’t think we’ll win the league, but today’s performance isn’t necessarily the problem. Dropped too many points at home earlier, and then threw away two points against County. Those eight points (and a consistent rival) have likely done us in. Personally bug bear: The superior goal difference is worth half a point, not a full point. If they lost their next two, and we won one and drew the other, who would be top of the league?

Gary Shaw

Couldn’t agree more with the first part of your post about the overhyped players…I said after the Ross County game that Diallos performance was nowhere as good as people were making it out to be..Aribo is another 1 who’s a flat track bully but at least he’ll dance his way by Dundee players at Home and the 2 worst for me are Roofe and Hagi who I’ve heard on here multiple times are “Technically gifted” , “Can see things that others can’t”….really baffling what supporters must be looking at when they watch these guys….then all you get is the “stats” and “numbers” comeback….My eyes don’t lie and I know what I’m seeing, which isn’t anywhere near enough from these guys who our supporters seem to think are going to go for £15m+

Alastair Woodford

“Ghetto var” refs looking at black and white tvs at the side of the pitch on hire from Glens, Hutchison, Robertson and Stepek

Garry

Frustrating one as we played pretty well for periods of the game. The 2 old firm games will determine the title
