What we're most concerned about is our financial position not so much in absolute terms but relative to Celtic. This tournament doesn't even offer that benefit as obviously they're taking part as well and, given the whole Ange thing, it may be even more lucrative for them than us. I suppose the board would say if we didn't participate their advantage would widen but my argument would be that the Old Firm angle is what makes the tournament so marketable in the first place. It's disingenuous of Bisgrove (though I agree with others that it's not his fault, more that of Park and Robertson) to imply it's either this or we stay at Auchenhowie for five weeks. If he can't arrange a lucrative winter break trip for Rangers (as long as potential locations doesn't include Dubai :-)) without massively alienating the fans in the process then that's on him.

Andy hit the nail on the head, from the overseas bear perspective, do you hate everything about the deal for the Sydney Super Cup? Yes! Would I go anyway? Yes! It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for many Australian/NZ bears. The ORSA RSCs membership is split down the middle on this. Do we follow follow everywhere anywhere, or walk away from the chance to see the famous? For the record I'm totally split and haven't bought the flights, but I haven't ruled it out either.

Great to hear you back in the big seat again Cammy! 👏🇬🇧

Graham Jones

Great to hear you back on the flagship Cammy. I genuinely will be surprised if they change their minds now. It might be cost prohibitive to do so. The truth is they either misjudged the feeling of the su;port, or the money t=caught their attention more and they decided to go with it despite knowing it would be controversial. Only the board know. I think Andy hi tit head on that as soon as we heard it, we knew straight away that this was a stitch up, and it will be quite an uncomfortable time over there for us now. Their media department will make sure of that, and David Graham will have his work cut out with this trip. I think it’s going to difficult for us to retain the league, because we simply haven’t seen a return from our investment yet. I hope the coming weeks prove me wrong, but we simply look short of players. I can’t decide if it’s philosophy or making a point to the board regarding the subs. It would be a helluva way to make a point at this stage of the season, though. And no, I wouldn’t go tot game over there, as it will be filled with every plastic paddy in the whole of Oz, not to mention the Greeks as well.

Alan Ferguson

Totally agree….McGregor needs dropped. Teams have sussed his increasing weakness and it’s spreading fear amid the defence. The crosses are the obvious threat but his use of playing with his feet / passing means anyone who can press the ball back to him know it’s the best way to win ball back from us, as he’ll either punt it straight for a shy (often in our half) or nowhere near a Rangers player.

Allan Osborne

We should be cancelling this trip. It astounds me in the first place that anyone at Ibrox thought it was a good idea to begin with. But the fact the news was released in the week of our 150th celebrations, the same week the news came out about their court cases and the whole narrative being driven as his coming home and the Glasgow Derby shit tells us who is benefitting from this most, and it is not us. This is a club who won't give us our proper name (which in itself doesn't bother me, but does when we become in effect their support act) and recently denigrated the memory of Walter Smith by their pettiness, and who pander to the base element of their support at every turn. The organisers, by their promotion of it to their agenda, are disrespecting Rangers and for me that's enough for us to withdraw. If we don't there's a real danger of this overshadowing our anniversary and also costing us far more financially in the long term if fans boycott merchandise as they're threatening to. Btw, welcome back Cammy! Great to get your input again mate 🇬🇧

Damien Stubbs

Great to have you back Cammy. Great show gents.

Andrew Whiteside

Yeah listened to the argument on the Sydney trip. So basically you are saying no problem with it so long as we win the league? Or they hate us so why should we go? From what I gather this worth more than 3m. So when the board next year say they can’t afford the player we need because they did not get that revenue will the same fans be up in arms? I think they will. Cash is king and sometime you need to dance with the devil to achieve long term goals like the potential of our third championship in a row and second year of champ league money. How much is that worth for the sake of playing Celtic a game we always look forward to. I think our scar tissue is getting in the way of seeing what good this could do.

KAD87

Agree Andrew. Not gonna give the boys a hard time, but I suspect that this is the issue for a lot of people. If we can beat them, we should go, if we are second, don’t go.

Scott Stevenson

Or you could look at it like this, it's devaluing the whole game. "the old firm" game is unique to any other because it shoukd never turn out like the rest ie, Liverpool Everton sitting beside each other and the half and half scarfs etc... Our game won't be far behind the rest if we make it a "freindly"

Scott Stevenson

Or do u follow follow into a trap with a club who are currently trying to hid there history in a court of law over 50 plus years of child abuse. All for 2million pound and cause a divide in the support? It might be 2million for two games but what happens later if fans decide to stay away or not spend as much as that's the only way the board will listen. The most baffling thing is, our board or most, are Rangers fans they're not daft baffles me why they didn't expect any reaction? 🤔

Chris Thorburn

Sydney trip. Absolutely no good will come from involvement in this tourney. 1. We should be completely distancing ourselves from a club that has actively covered up child rape, deaths associated with abuse and an alleged murder of a youth player. 2. Rangers fan safety has not been considered. This is a recipe for disaster and is on Rangers if fans are seriously injured. 3. Any money Rangers make will be offset by merchandise and ticketing boycotts. Please Rangers - reconsider this decision.

Tamus

Every Rangers fan wants success on the park Bisgrove, you condescending piece of slime
