There's a field of computer science called "biologically inspired computing", that's what my PhD (if it ever finishes is in) Not sure about bees, but ants are a major research topic - there's stuff called "Ant Colony Optimisation" that is used a lot for "path finding" problems - individual ants are shite but the colony as a team are really good at finding short paths to their food and back You could easily do a show on ants, some of the stuff that they get up to is unreal 😁

That Tobin story reminded me of this guy. I delivered his paper when I was a kid. Years later, in the same paper I saw that he had been convicted of exposing himself to women while dressed in lingerie. Nowadays he'd be making a fortune with his own internet site. Cheers guys.
