Ferguson's a clown if he's said that. If I could watch us lift any trophy this season it would 100% be the Europa League. edit: in addition to the points David made, you only have to look at how fondly we remember that 2008 side, or how fondly the 2002/03 Celtic side is remembered across the city to realise how big success in Europe actually is, and that's 2 teams which fell short at the final hurdle. Sum up 2008 in one word and for us it's Manchester; likewise for them if they were to sum up 2003 in one word it would be Seville. Nobody who's rational on either side really remembers the failure to win the league title that season.

Like you David, I never thought I would see Rangers compete in a European final in my lifetime!! If, this season, we went all the way and won it, I could die happy soon after lol!! I want the league though, because it's fun rubbing their noses in it and throw in the Scottish cup as well!! I'm not getting over confident but we are winning the lot!! Barry really isn’t the brightest is he? Any win in Europe trumps a league win, as only 3 times before has it been done by a Scottish side. Flange cup needs cancelled, in no way should we be associated with a club fighting court action as they’ve covered up pedophilia for 56 years. Club need to take back the narrative on this one when legally able to do so. We don’t need them in partnership for anything. We can grow our own commercial revenues else where. Europa everyday of the week, I'd even accept the muck winning a treble if it meant a European cup on 150th anniversary 50 years after the last 1. In Seville would just top it off. Clickbait Barry is maybe worried it would take the shine of his achievements

Of course a European trophy is bigger than any league win. I live in England and no one here outside of the Scots cares who wins the league in Scotland, but I've had plenty of people complimenting Rangers on recent Europa League results, especially Dortmund. Does anyone outside the mhanks even know they won the league in 1972? Nope, but our Barcelona team is legendary, even though the domestic season was a mess. Yet again Ferguson is way off the mark. And I really do hope this Australian shambles is being scrapped. It would be even better if the reason it is was exposed for all to see, but I doubt the Scottish press will do it.

You try to win everything. There isn’t really a straight answer to the choice. The league is more doable, because of the opposition, the other carries more glory and would torture that lot for a very long time. They both offer direct entry to the Champions League next season, so I think Ferguson is maybe thinking about what matters longer term, though he does tend to run his mouth in the wrong direction on every subject concerning Rangers. Probably why I never want to see him back at the club, despite him being a Hall of Famer. If anything has to be sacrificed, then it’s the Scottish Cup. To be honest, it’s a stupid question to put to a footballer in the first place, hence it being asked by a Scottish sports journalist.
