I’m too scared to listen. It’s a war zone out there 😱 Tell me when it’s April 3rd

Ryan Lynch

Quiet, dull international break...

Scott Dickson

Any truth in the whispers Bisgrove might be off? Seems harsh he’s the fall guy when ultimately the board fucked up on signing it off…

Tamus

Stop sending yer sponging weans onto the pitch, cease with the jakey bits of cardboard

Scott McKenzie

You can stop isolating after 7 days after 2 negative tests on consecutive days if not free after 10 days. Sadly just had it missing Motherwell & sheep games

Scott Duncan

Despite the infighting, I still love that song!

Charlie Nicolson

A wise man once told me "don't write so you can be understood. Write so that you cannot possibly be misunderstood"

John Mclevy

Can’t wait for the day when the Daily Record disappears based on current figures hopefully will be very soon WATP

iain riach

Thanks for the update Colin. Nice to finish on a happy story.

Alan Murdoch

Get castore to offer a one off Dave King Special training top limited edition run of 1 top priced at £3million... simples.

Brian Fisher

One of Kings companies could become an official commercial partner of the club for a fee of $3,000,000.

Ian MacLeod

I read KIng's offer as being for payment of the costs of extricating ourselves from the tournament with the filth. Not an offer to cover the profits from taking part in it. It seems to me to have been left deliberately vague.

8luenose1872

The reason the statement wasn't clear was because the board wanted to have a sly dig at the protests too imo.

Gregg McKee

Spot on @James Ring. Deliberately ambiguous in its wording. David Graham needs chased.

Stephen A

Can't see any evidence to show that DK spoke to the record. Chris Jack broke the story and the scummy rag took their story from there. May sound smallfry but in times like this it's important to get the detail correct.

Martin Davies

Colin, you would have ripped the board a new one. No, sorry, I meant C1872. No, scrap that it should have been Dave King. Or the Sons of Struth. Why can't we just get back to the fitba and put all the infighting in the bin where it belongs? Cancel the fckin friendly and let's all move on to cheering the team towards an unprecedented treble.

Andrew

Jack had the original, Jackson ran with the story. Bit of a distortion to say King spoke to the Record.

John Johnston

Well said Colin cant wait to hear Jack on with you tomorrow. Any chance of a serial killer theme or a phantom shitter one for the daily update instead of a shout out at the end of the show?

Alan Cowan

Hi Colin. NARSA 2022, I know David is going to NARSA in LV, any other Podders going?

Colin

Hi Alan, I won’t be there sadly. There was chat from some podders about it before covid and the delays not sure of folks plans now. I’m sure it will be great though.

Paul Kerr

To make the split work the league should have been 14 teams. but as usual any idea is half-arsed in Scottish football. Home and away 26 games. Split top 7 and play home and away. 38 games. Prove yourself evenly over the first part of the season play the best teams at the end over an even number of matches. Sounds great. We'd even get a little more variety in who we play. Instead we end up with this 12 team 33 and 5 abomination that everyone hates and is a fixture disaster. The simpler and more obvious the solution, the harder it seems to get there. Scottish football in a nutshell.

Gordon Millar

The only thing that matters is 14 wins....or at least 7 wins in the league, 2 in the Scottish Cup and enough to reach and win the Europa League.....ignore the noise and posturing and back our great club 100%.....there's time enough to deal with other issues in the summer💙🇬🇧

Gary Brown

Well said on all points Colin, thanks for the update. Perhaps Dave King could organise a Cape Town Super Cup, invite the club, leading to postponement of playing in Sydney due to a fixture clash?!? I'm sure a clever financial mind & deep wallet can sort that out.

Rod

14 teams in the best but should be top 6 and bottom 8 for me.

Colin

😂 I don’t know if the daily update is ready for that! RBR is a bit like Fight Club if you know what I mean… 😃

John Palmer

Why does Sydney need to be Cancelled? Is there no consideration AT ALL for us downunder Bears who's alrerady booked flights, accommodation and bought tickets. Why can't there just be games v the Sydney sides so we don't miss out? Calling to cancel the entire trip or move it to another Country is a poor remedy and will only fuel Anger from Downunder Bears. Some will have the arrogant opinion of "Too bad, So sad" which is a poor and selfish attitude towards fellow supporters who spend nearly as much or more on Rangers per Annum. For Me the Trip goes ahead as per the schedule or they change it to just playing the Sydney sides. This is the only solution I can see that puts the "Fire" out and keeps the Majority (Not the Minority) of the Fans happy.

Charles Thomson

David well set you up with that outro music.

Graham Roy

You are correct however I think because of the reaction it has to be cancelled! The organisers have not helped Rangers with the marketing of this tournament which has left a sour taste for most rangers fans. Hopefully we do organise a tour down under soon as you say the bears deserve it 👍🏻

Colin

Ha not at all. On my updates the music is all me. Why it’s usually so much better 😂

John Palmer

If I'm correct then I can't also be wrong. Cancelling only appeases one side now and I stand by my solution as it's the only Answer.

Alan Keegan

Excellent daily Colin. Thanks for the insight. I think that Dave King is playing with the fans.

Gary Brown

I feel for you & the other OzBears John. I personally believe the board saw the Sydney Cup as (a) lots of money for utilising the OF 'brand' and lets face it, the OF is 2 sides, one of / the most recognisable derbies in world football - either club can go solo, doubtful the money would be so good. (b) a genuine interest in taking an OF game to a market where they know they have a large fan base and it could be the only time those fans could see one. Friendly? Doubt it! An 'exhibition' match is more apt. (c) a 'test event' - if successful it could open up other markets, Far East, Middle East, etc where the ex-pat fanbase isnt so large but the OF game could be a big draw / moneymaker. The other side & Aussie organisers exploited the situation for diversion & marketing respectively. Anyone actually believe the board signed up to it with it being sold to them as Play in Ange's Homecoming? I know I'm in a minority who sees potential positives in the Sydney Cup
