Fine show to pour yourself a good drink

Another great show like the mccoist management one. Great work 👍

Pedro should have been axed immediately after the Progres game. He was a busted flush after that and it was purely a matter of time. The signings of Pena and Herrera were bonkers and anyone could see neither were in a physical condition to play for Rangers. He did leave us with the legacy of Jack and Morelos though. And I'd also consider Candeias a success.

The audio quality was really poor, Harvey sounds like he is underwater. H&H is brilliant but Davey needs to spend a small amount on microphones for guys and invest in a platform like Zencastr or something to record local files. The audio quality can be really off putting

Agreed on upgrading past Skype and we’re looking into that. Equally I think the charge reflects we’re aware it’s not pristine at all times. Each pod costs the listener around 2p on the basic tier.

Rick

Mate you've got nearly 7000 patrons, that's 14 grand a month without counting the higher tiers. If you're charging for a podcast then people have the right to expect listenable quality.

I remember after that semi final vs Motherwell. Our bus had booked a bowling club for before and after the game. The only issue was we had to walk through the Motherwell buses to get to it. Three Motherwell fans who were in about their 40’s keep looking over their shoulders at me and a couple of my pals, who are half their age. One stutters out “your clubs dead” and the three of them ran away to their bus giggling like a bunch of school girls. That annoyed me more than the game😂

I love that you think there's no outgoings :-) We do provide mics for podders but as this is Harvey's second he doesn't have one yet. I agree we need to provide good quality but if you want everyoe kitted out with Sky quality gear, I'll need to charge Sky quality prices. If you feel you're not getting value for your 53p per week Rick, well, I'd disagree but it is subjective.

Rick

Think you're making a bit of a strawman there, I'm not asking for everyone to be kitted up to the eyeballs with high quality audio tech and neither did I say I felt the podcast wasn't value for money - you literally just put those words into my mouth there - just that there should be a minimum expectation for the podcast to be listenable. It's a complaint I've seen aired quite a few times over the 3+ years I've been a subscriber. Decent mics are very cheap these days. As I said I've been a subscriber for a long time so I do support the pod; but as it's purely an audio product then it's a pretty reasonable standard to ask that you get the audio right.

We're not fully professional yet, there's only one full-time employee. We're growing and long-term the aim is to get there but right now we're just not in a position. I have always taken pride in the fanzine culture element of allowing people to start out on here. I have taken the feedback though and we are moving to Zencastr beginning Monday. This will hopefully increase the sound quality right across the site.

Rick

Fair play mate and thanks for taking the feedback on board. I do enjoy the pod a great deal and the fanzine angle is a good point. Cheers.

I’m sorry for my reaction. I get a bit over-protective because it’s my baby. Legitimate criticism should be listened to, not argued with. I’m genuinely sorry and I really appreciate your very classy response 💙

As much as Jack wasn't too clever, when have you ever seen a fourth official sprint onto the pitch to (incorrectly) tell a ref to upgrade a yellow to a red? It was complete open season on Rangers from 2016 to 2018.
