Re: cinema for a first date. I went on a first date to the big multi story cinema in town. The choices when we arrived were the first Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. Well, I wasn’t watching Harry Potter. So we Sat in silence for 2 hours watching Lord of The Rings instead. The relationship, surprisingly, did not last. 😂

Great pod as ever. Thanks David, Shane & Todd you always make me laugh. Re Movie dates - Privacy!! Sounds strange eh? But back in my youth (1980s) a great place to go for some serious teenage snogging. Out of the weather & warm. Dark! Other 'movie go-ers' 🤔ok 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 1980s folk in the piktchur-hoose were other dates snogging, or actually watching the film too busy to bother. If at home in your / their room 'doing homework' or 'listening to records' (ahem!) you / they were wide open to family teasing, judgement & chaperoning, or capture!!! And TBH there wasn't exactly anywhere else to go back then!!
