Thursday brings the first of two massive games in the space of four days as we look to turn around our 1 goal deficit against SC Braga.

A semi-final awaits the winner of this tie and with home advantage, we aim to turn the tide and extended this season's European adventure even further.

Mentioned this on another thread: we talk about needing to sign players with a decent fitness history yet we've agreed a deal with Souttar. I appreciate (hope) he may not be seen as an initial starter but there is a lot of risk to his signing that we really didn't need to take. 87/88 was the best chance, in my lifetime, for us to win the European Cup (even better than 92/93). We should have hammered Steaua at Ibrox - their goalie was subbed because he had bottled it. PSV won it that year and whilst they ahd a decent team they were nowhere near as good as Marseille.

I gave some feedback on the audio quality and volume levels across podders a couple of weeks back. Today's audio is great. Nice work lads :)

Great pod guys. I was beginning to think we weren’t allowed to enjoy wins or dream of European glory. I’m older than you both but European quarter finals don’t happen very often for us. So yes it is exciting times. You set the right tone. Cheers and good luck with house move Alex !

Steven spot in terms of evolving the squad moving forward, we have way too many players who aren’t reliable enough to play the amount of games we need. Balogun, Helander, Jack, Ramsay, Arfield, Roofe are all going to miss chunks of a season. We’ve also added Souttar to that as well

Cheering on Emery and Villarreal for the CL too but I think we need the Russians to be reinstated for the rotten mob to miss out on automatic QF.

I hope we have been practicing penalties and for more than just the fact I have a feeling like Alex that this one is going the distance. Any team NOT practicing penalities especially at this stage of knock out football deserve all they get. It's not a lottery - biggest myth in football.

You can practice penalties all day long, you can not replicate what it will be like in a shootout with a semi final at stake, all comes down to bottle on the night.

Wrong re Fiorentina in 08. Was same scenario as we knew when we beat Sporting that was who we had jn the semi I know cause we drunkenly booked flights about 1 in the morning after the SL semi win and I woke in a panic next day trying to check Pisa where we were flying to was in fact near Florence Absolutely agree though this is a massive opp
