Steven speaks with Barry Gray and Harry Smith from the Qatar Loyal and Blue RSC. Based in Doha, the club meet up to watch the Rangers games and hold a few annual events.  They share their venue with the Scotland Supporters Club, as Qatar gets set for a big year.

Steven shares his views and gets the boys to discuss a host of topics from the club's background to great travel advice for anyone planning on visiting Doha for the World Cup later this year or beyond, along with dispelling several misconceptions and false narratives the British media has created surrounding it.

Lived in the Pearl, Doha 2013-2015. Worked on the Lusail City project. Would have loved a Loyal there at the time 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Interesting pod!!! I’ve applied for Match Tickets which seemed straightforward but the search for accommodation was difficult - still haven’t found anything much. Any recommendations..?

As far as I'm led to believe more will become available in the current months, as some is being held back at present.

I was there in 12-14 mate and we founded ql&b in 2013 I think. We didn't watch games every week at that point, only got together for a few 'big' games. Good to see the club still running and have gotten stronger. Will listen to the pod later but I take a bit of pride in coming up with the name of the club when I hear something about them

i’m staying in al wakrah do you have any idea how easy it is to travel to and from doha ?

LAURENCE MACRAE

Very easy , there is a metro that will take you to Doha or Uber would cost about £7-10 each way at the most
