Jesus, listening to this in November 2024 (great series btw) and it's a shocker that the semi-final victory David mentions at the start was our last meaningful victory over them :(

After the week we’ve just had lads, that’s just brought us crashing back down to earth. Painful memories the Motherwell match aside. Cheers as always for doing this show, as hard a listen it can be at times.

The bbc coverage of the Motherwell game was the start of the breakdown in the relationship between us and bbc Scotland.

Strangely I remember the utter crap games in this period better than the easy wins.

I was luckily enough my old Man took me to games from abojt 2002/03 onwards, but I still can’t believe I spent my teenage years watching the shite😂

Thanks to all involved in bringing these shows to us. I've actually had to binge listen to multiple episodes per day to catch up (Sideshow Bob hit by rake shudder & groan!!) However this content is VERY important to cover and remind us all how we were treated, what we went through and how we coped (plus show younger bears) Many blanks being filled in for me, some games & player names simply lost to memory - I must have another look at my Journey Pt 1dvd to accompany the series!! I recall there not being as many 'industrial' challenges as I expected and the part timer's football standards better than I expected. I remember not even analysing team or player performance, just 'blindly' supporting and backing anyone in a Rangers shirt. We all experienced the 'I thought they were friends / bigger than that' described in the admin episode. Its why I simply cannot abide 'The Banter Years' term - no banter involved at all, just sadistic. Whenever we have a poor result or performance now, always remember it IS an honour and a joy to watch & support our beloved Rangers - far too many wanted to take that away from us!!
