I half think Balogun was goaded into that challenge by the opposition, it's the only reason I can think of for why he did it because he just munched him out of nowhere. That or it's just a moment of madness. Good win.

Martin Boyd

Sorry wouldn’t matter if Balagun had made that challenge or not the Motherwell player was off the ground studs up it was a red. As it was the team showed again that it’s character should not be brought into dispute.

Jock Paterson

Cammy twisting himself inside out to try and justify that yellow. Why? It’s a red, there’s no question it’s red applying the rules as they were applied with Balogun. Just stop this needless appeasement please. The ref was honking and it was no surprise to me. Great victory.

aldo adens

Think balogun went in like way he did in the challange due to both amad and borna being weak in the challenges prior to him being the next one of our players to face the play up. Dont think he intended to go over top of the ball think he ment to go through the ball as hard as he could and lay down a marker to both amad and borna that they had to put in more effort in the challenges as for me they 2 challenges they attempted were powder puff.

Gary Brown

Folk, refs inc, need to have another look at Balogun's tackle - got the mid-top of the ball, and rolled over it, connected with M'well player. So wasn't a direct 'over the top' challenge. Clumsy? Yes. Accidental? Yes. Over aggressive? Maybe. Red? You're presenting ref a decision to make! The similar M'well yellow - took out the standing leg. Endangering opponent? Are arguments for both to be yellow & both red. For me both yellow! If you want to be strict, both red. Great win by the lads, played well but the story of this season is individual mistakes leading to goals. Good pod guys, thanks.

Cameron Bell

He wasn’t honking at all, just because it suits our narrative. I’ve complained about referees all season, and did so again today. Got all the big decisions right, the wee ones wrong

Laura McCrimmon

Im with you Colin I thought amad was looking okay today, was wanting the ball and making space. I would be happy if we had him on loan next season and have more time on the pitch. We only need to look at how lundstrum has come good when alot of us would have been happy to see him go in January.

Dingus

Cammy, here’s the ludicrous IFAB 20/21 change that explains why Walsh didn’t dish out a yellow for the shirt pull on Fashion in the lead up to our 2nd goal - “When a referee plays advantage following denial of a goal-scoring opportunity, the red card becomes a yellow card. Likewise, if the referee plays advantage for an offence which interfered with or stopped a promising attack, the yellow card is not shown”

Douglas Innes

I think Kamara's mistakes is down to not having a proper break last summer after being involved in the euros with Finland

Scott Watson

Cammy, thanks for the explanations on the decisions Has there ever been any thought of having a refereeing show on the network? Not in the sense of a "Here's all the things we've been hard done by this time" but looking at contentious decisions and explaining why maybe the gut reaction (to say nothing of the media reaction) isn't looking at the right things. The inaugural H&H video series perhaps? 😀

William Acheson

Cammy think you were a bit unfair on Gio re the having a laugh with the 4th official, Gio had grabbed the 4th official and held his arms to demonstrate the challenge which had happened on the pitch. They then had a laugh at Gio being so animated about it.

Cameron Bell

I did think that (falls slightly into double jeopardy) but given it was on the halfway line assumed he would pull it back - similar to McGregor dismissal vs us for tackle on Kamara last year in build up to the goal

Martin Mcinnes

I think Steven Davis is already a Rangers great, but I would hope the management team are keeping tabs on Stephen Kelly at Salford and with Sands signed up for another year along with Charlie Mccann from the youth squad, i think its time for him to go gracefully with a pocket full of medals at the end of the season. We cant moan about players like Lowry not signing if their path is blocked for sentimental reasons and needing experience, they only get that from playing, move him into a youth coaching role similar to what Kevin Thomson was doing

Doug Maclean

I agree it’s time to bring on youth and both Kelly and Lowry deserve consistent game time. Davis is a superb player but we would find the same situation as Patterson and Tav if we keep him for another year. I can see him signing a 2 year deal at Hearts and doing superbly well with them

Alexander Laird

Great show again folks. Cammy I get your frustration with the shirt pulling thing. This season in particular it seems to be a totally acceptable part of the game to our referees. It's cheating pure and simple and needs to be addressed 😒.

Cameron Bell

We discussed it ages ago however as I think it would be tough to do without it becoming a slagging of the referee or praising them which few would appreciate 😂😂 if I could referee a game and be forgotten about then I was perfectly happy 😂
