Colin is joined by Hoggy and Alex Staff to discuss a fine defensive performance and one sickening late conceded goal.

However as you are about to hear,  we think we are still very much in this.

You get one chance in life to be famous! We didn’t take that chance tonight! However - all to play for next Thursday- ship it in! WATP!

AGS

McGregor should come and get the ball

Nathan

Can't complain really

AGS

Sakala is clueless get rid

Craig Robertson

See to be totally honest with you? Some good points in the pod. But I have to tell you, Don't think them chasing a CL spot domestically is a big deal as they are two games from securing it in the Europa anyway. Freiburg also have a much harder run in.

Scott Watson

Strider makes an excellent point about Sakala going through the middle because he can't be trusted to do the off the ball work out wide Would it have been better to bring Arfield on out there who definitely will do a defensive shift? Downside being he doesn't have the pace to trouble anyone if an opportunity to break was on Hope no newspapers are listening and we don't get front page "Heart and Hand child trafficking" headlines 😃

Brian Moore

“Sakala needs talked through a game” if that is the case, get him sold ASAP. We all love the guy and his personality but his football intelligence isn’t where we need it. On a more positive, this tie is not over by a long stretch. Back to Ibrox and put the fear of god into this Tourist club. Make Us Dream!!!! ❤️🤍💙

Great pod and some things to think on. For me The reason you see Wright before Sakala is simply one plays in the team shape and the other just does what they want. I can’t see how we get Sakala tuned in as he seems to continue to do the same random things and doesn’t even just do the basics. Alex is spot on in identifying that you can’t expect Wright to hold it up when it’s not his game, the difference in the ability to build when Aribo was moved to the middle and asked to take the ball in was noticeable. Given how the personnel situation was I thought we did very well, the only regret is that if we had taken the chance with Kent second half it might well have been one of the best nights we have had in Europe as I’m sure it would have made their already frustrating night worse and put some real doubt in.

The feeling of dread you get when you concede a penalty. I get that when we concede a corner. Come on Rangers, let's get this turned round WATP

Gutted losing the late goal, but we’ve a great chance to make the final, let’s blow the roof off the gaffe next Thursday.

Alex Hood

I bloody love Hoggy. Their goal was offside and Stephen Craigan is a clueless arsehole. Well said, Hoggy.

Steven Dillon

We did enough… dealt with them effortlessly at times and had a few chances, we didn’t capitalise on. Fans magnificent as ever. In my head, I’m going to Seville♥️🤍💙it’s all or nothing now.

Gary Brown

Great pod guys thanks. Agree 100% with the assessment of the game particularly Hoggy's opening summary (& Craigan re the goal!). Thanks lads. Only thing I'd add is the late game tactic of dropping Aribo back, Sakala through the middle. Yes it was less effective on the offensive front but was dual purpose to weather their inevitable final push for a winner with Aribo better at tracking / sitting back. Was to use Sakala's pace & freshness as a quick counter to chase any/everything we put over the top. Just game management, 'settling' to hold the 0-0 but still hoping to nick something if we could. Its nice to reflect how far we've come along 'the journey' - and its still not done; cups & Champions League music still to tick off! For anyone still a bit 😔 about last night, 2 words - Progres Neiderkorn, we're a long way from there, in only FIVE years. We have a chance to make the final.
