Colin and Jack are here with a quick rundown of tonights result and how they are feeling.

This is shorter than a usual post match, we will go into the game and the reaction from it in more detail across the rest of the week.

Kent's chance was the sliding door moment and we just never got going the way we can. A few players just never turned up tonight but those same players have been mostly outstanding in this tournament. It's hard to judge if it was simply down to tactics or personnel as Frankfurt won almost every 2nd ball in midfield and that's where we struggled imo. Yet again, we go ahead then sit back and lose a goal that should have really been prevented. Do you know what though, i'm excited for next season and the manager must be substantially backed to get to that next level we all crave. This will sting for a while though.

Pretty poor crowd for us no noise maybe the wrong people got tickets as usual but bigger was the Frankfurt supporters obviously had a coordinated support from their club flags, drums coordinated chants their ultras with drums behind the goal meanwhile Rangers do f all

We were too negative at times until Davis came on and steadied the ship. Would off loved to see bassey at left back terrorising them with balogen providing more areial threat from set pieces. Let's go one step further next year.

Absolutely gutted but I’m sorry I cannot give this team any praise or forgive them. I feel raw at this moment but I’ll always remember this final for signing a player/person that is more concerned about his national team than club team

Gutted but it is what it is. Some people might blame Kent but it is a good save from the keeper. Without Kent we would have been nowhere near the final. They were a quality side and we did well to stay in the game as long as we did. It is tough to take but I felt we got lucky with a 1 or 2 decisions tonight.

A real missed opportunity, the need to grab the game and take it to them seemed lost on players. Nobody slack or lazy but none of the attacking intent or threat that we carried against better teams. Not raging or looking to blame any individual but as a collective where was the fight and urgency to be hero’s? Seemed like it was a routine spfl game and not a chance to be legends.

Absolutely gutted but these players have given us everything, Frankfurt keeper makes a worldly with 2 mins to go , that doesn’t happen and we’re europa league winners . Pens are a lottery but give them to players who have been on park not to ppl who have their 1st touch ie Ramsay . We have to win the cup on sat this hurts but what can we do , we need to move on and pick up some silverware and move on . Biggest piss off for me is those Celtic bampots that will gloat

Absolutely fucked it. Far to easy to blame Ramsey. Put a guy on with a couple of minutes to go just to hit a pen. Not stretched his legs, hardly touched the ball and we throw that pressure on him. We stopped doing what got us there. Apart from a slip for the goal we created one real chance and that was in the 118th minute. Kent missed a sitter. It's only a gois save because he hits the keeper with the ball. If I hear one more person tell me Goldson is our best defender I'm going to fuckin explode. Can't defend the 6 yard box, can't deal with a bouncing ball and gets done one in one all the time. Give me an Alan McLaren, Craig Moore or even Marvin Andrews beside Bassey tonight and we don't lose that goal. Too many times he gets done with same bread and butter balls. Time to clear the decks and churn a spent squad. Kent, Aribo, Kamara, Sakala and Goldson can all go. Give Alfie a new contract and let Gio bring his own players in.

My concerns are for the confidence of Sakala, coming on as a sub and being subbed for Ramsey, How is the boy going to be feeling, I am proud of the team 3/4 through the game I was saying for me Bassey was MOTM, people criticize wright but for the goal he put keeper under pressure for the lead up to the goal, i think we might well see many offers coming in for Bassey might struggle to hold on to him, what gets me is we get to final putting our league on the map on a big scale and all we get is everyone supporting another team to get us beat I commented on the frankfurt twitter feed congratulating them as penalties is a lottery but all I could see was scottish/irish fans basically getting it up us what a small minded country we live in.WATP

Be hard pushed to say we deserved anything from the match. But loosing on penalties is always unlucky. The real disgrace is loosing the league to a bang average team with a clueless manager. Let’s work on that first.

Cheers guys. Thanks for doing this couldn't have been easy. Love you bears, and anyone reading this. We'll bounce back from this. Victories are sweeter for the defeats. We're hurting cause we lost. They're happier tonight than they were on Saturday. Watp and we'll recover from this. Scottish Cup final on Saturday, let's lift ourselves for that.

The season was always in doubt when the spfl (Beadrattlers) got the 2nd Jan game cancelled due to their injuries and getting new players in where we lost the momentum, I do not buy this we were 6 in front and lost the league it was orchestrated from that point, I know we did drop silly points but if they faced us on the 2nd they had no team it would have been 9 points, but let them carry on with their skippy messaih, lets win the cup on Saturday I know we are going to need to rebuild but at least we have assets to sell and build a team and start over because we have decent players coming through and the staff in place to build a team onwards and upwards

Very hard to take. But so proud of the squad and management for getting us this far. You can't get closer than we did. Just disappointed we were never really able to take the game to them consistently, we just weren't at our best against a good team. We need to regroup for Saturday, deal with Hearts and start building for next season to come back stronger.

Proud of Gio and the players, thought after we took the lead we were going to do it, horrendous goal to lose for equaliser, I don’t know why CG never just put ball out of play. Kent chance at death was waiting on net to bulge, wasn’t to be . Gutted that we lost Morelos as what a difference he would have made tonight.

Why does Goldson let that ball go across him? He decided to pull away from a crossed ball on the 6 yard box. Who does that? Surely he meets it and puts it out? What professional football and defender is ever thinking it’s a good idea to pull away and let the ball go across the 6 yard box? When does that ever become the right idea? That’s what has cost us!!! Not Ramsay. Not Kent. Goldson has done the same as a striker pulling out if a 6 yard tap in. What the actual fuck?!

Proud of the team and not having a go at Kent but the caliber player we have in Kent we should be getting at least 15 to 20 goals from him and we are not getting that from him, a confident Kent Infront of goal might have buried that but more times than not he's been left wanting when's he's Infront of goal.

Well done Colin on being magnanimous, but I am raging at Ramsey. He clearly could not give a fuck about us at all and should never have been signed. And after going off at half time against Celtic, he should never have played for us again. An utter selfish shitebag. If anyone else had missed a penalty, I wouldn't be angry at all, but his attitude has been thoroughly rotten across his time here, and now he's cost us that trophy.

We chose the biggest game of the season to have our worst performance of the season, we were awful, we looked scared and intimidated by our surroundings, yes it was boiling, but that's no excuse, harsh, probably, but if it wasn't for Goldson the Europa league trophy would be in our trophy cabinet today.

In the cold light of day, this European run represents the team over the last few years. Capable of brilliance but sometimes lacking a cutting edge when key players are missing. Frankfurt had done their homework and shut down Kent and Tav by taking away their preferred options, and we all know our defence struggles with cross balls. We've seen that sort of goal a lot this season. It's tough now, and a lack of sleep doesn't help, but I'm sure one day I'll look back and marvel at how far we've come. My daughter just turned 5, a week after she born she slept on me as Celtic scored 5 at Ibrox and it could have been 10 that day. I genuinely feared we were becoming a mid table side who would battle with Aberdeen and Hibs for years. This squad might have fallen short this year but over the last 4 seasons they've made me believe again, and I'll always be grateful for that.

My feelings are just a huge mixture of being proud and devastated at the same time. It seems harder as watching our kids 13 and 6 absolutely break their hearts at the end was so tough, trying to explain this is football it's what it does too u. I was confident not because I was being arrogant just cause I believed in the team after the displays they had put on just to get there. On reflection I think some were over awed by the occasion understandably but we were in the game until penalties and then it's just a lottery. We can think what if goldson just kicked that cross out, what if Kent scored but all that does is erode the high feeling of pride of getting there in the 1st place. I love this club and nothing will ever change that and we march forward to Saturday for another chance of silverware and this team deserve something for this season's journey.

Roofe should have started. We lacked Aribos creativity from midfield. Personally, I wouldn't let players take a penalty who are just on the park as they are not mentally and physically sharp enough. All in all very proud of the run. Let gio build a squad to win the treble next year. Let's go!

Been coping a bit better as the day goes on. There was no shame to how we lost out, though it is gutting. Waking up was brutal today. I just hope we see this as an opportunity to continue as a force in europe and not see it as the “end” of a 4 year euro journey. Frankfurt lost out in the semi final penalties a few years ago, we played a villareal that won it last year, its not crazy to think we could win it one year down the line. This has only been half a season for Gio in Europe and he has done a fantastic job. On to the Scottish cup now

Anyone saying we need to grab the game and we need to try harder and we should have “got at them more” etc etc have never played football at any level. It’s not as black and white as let’s just turn up and “get in their faces”. We played a top team and we had to be very careful as of when to press and when to hold our positions and draw them in. I don’t think we did anything wrong tactically. We matched them for the whole game including extra time and we looked the better team for a lot of the game. Especially extra time. Penalties are a lottery and we have to suck that up and look at the positives. This is the standard Gio has set and current players and players who he brings in will have objectives to maintain these standards. Who’s to say we can’t enjoy another great run in Europe next year. Look at Sevilla and their European track record. We will bring in a higher calibre of player for next season. The manager will have his team even better prepared. I am worrying about Saturday. To lift themselves for this after the gut wrench we are all feeling will be hard. Hopefully it’s motivation to right a wrong and ease the pain. I do think if Goldson meets the cross and puts the ball out the park we win the match. The thing I am struggling with most is why a defender would not meet that ball. I’ve never seen a defender pull out of a block or clearance.

What’s hurting me today is the realisation that we have been on top of the radar and we have won nothing so far. Celtic have slipped under the radar, they have not been the talk of the country like we have, and they have won 2 trophies and they will excel financially now due to your good work. But we have nothing to show for it. This is horrible.

Look …… penalties are a lottery, they’ve been the downfall of many great footballers/teams. We were a hairs breath away, it should’ve been but wasn’t. No sleep for days, travelling hours, tired, enduring terrible heat and humidity, hungry, thirsty! no wonder the troops were subdued. I had to be at my bus back @1am, if we’d won, no chance to celebrate, a good 50 min walk from stadium. I ve gotten back from Seville now still in Spain tho, fed, watered, feet full of blisters, no specs as one of the arms broke on the bus, no charge on phone as battery pack taken, got lost,totally gutted……. Do it again, in a 💙♥️🤍🥹WATP ALWAYS AND FOREVER RANGERS I will love you, what a journey… LYNN X
