Have we signed the new Cherno Samba? Hopefully he is more like the championship manager version than the real life player

John Smith

If Steven Gerrard had the final say on player sales, would he have had that power contractually ?

Zak’s mother Linda played a major part of my upbringing in late 70s / 80s! Tremendously gifted actress! 🤣

Now I see why Allan McGregor was kept on. We needed the shagger to see to Linda and get her son to sign up with the Gers.

I feel slightly sick even saying this - but Johnny McFarlane made a good point today about the relationship between us and Sevilla - surely this would complicate any potential bid for Alfredo? At the very least they should be subject to a seven-figure 'fannybaws' tax after their patter last month.

Benjamin McGlinchey

Any word on the date for the launch of the new home top?

I think your pal meant a back 5

Great content as ever, with an excellent tune to match.I may be in the minority among our support, but if BBC shortbread, the daily record, evening times and Glasgow herald never go near our club or stadium again, I would be very comfortable.

John Smith

Cheers David 👍 I definitely agree there should be a balance between the manager and the director of football

Another good episode lads. However my POV on this "Trading Model" we supposedly have in place is..... We can call it what we want, and we can talk it up all we want, but until we actually sell a player or players on for significant money it's only a "model" in theory. We have yet to completely execute this model. I hate to say this out loud, but can't help but think we are on the eve of Ross Wilson being asked some serious questions about his roll, and lack of activity in and out. Granted Stevie G can be held responsible for not green (hate that word) lighting any exits last year, but it's high time to get things moving.

Ach, I've quite liked bonding with the squad that won 55 and got to Euro final 6 and finally won the Scottish Cup. Tremendous achievements and continuity used to be the key to success. Unless its a better player coming in, I'd keep them all!

Brian Campbell

Yeah I agree about keeping all that we can when we can, however even during our time of NIAR we ALWAYS had good players moving on to 'Freshen' things up. Add to that, the financial dynamic we have now. We can't keep relying on loans from investors etc. We need to be self sufficient or run the risk of the Banter years all over again (shudder at the thought).

Thanks for the update David & Hoggy, great work & great opinions. No one wanted any of the 55 team to leave / be sold, the next natural progression was group stages of the Champions League and keeping the squad was a gamble with a great potential reward - unfortunately the gamble failed. The euphoria of 55, the ease it was won and margin won by got us, maybe, a bit overconfident. Player trading model = Can't have your cake & eat it! Seville aren't in the EPL, so wont be able to stump up overinflated EPL player values & transfer fees. I totally agree £6-7mil isn't enough for Morelos but after August it is only going to fall lower and quickly.f

Bit of Metric. Excellent

Enjoyed the updates this week and also reading the threads on them. Been a welcome change from the mass hysteria at everything over on Rangers Twitter 🤣

Third option/excuse for BBC Scotland. They like it the way it is. I don't know why Rangers don't make a bigger noise about it.
