Chris and David return for the show which has become an annual event rather than a weekly one! Season 21/22 saw Rangers start as Champions and would prove to be an incredible season of highs and lows - including a record fee in and a manager out.

King wasn’t part of the group who searched for managers back then. It was Gillian, Murray and Robertson who wanted McInnes. It was King and Park who drove the appointment of Gerrard, because the others were making a meal of things. They proved to be right. I do think there was a change in the budget, possibly for good reason, and while that wasn’t why he left, I think it helped pushed him towards the exit door. I just hope the board back GvB this summer, or it could cost us. We need to cash in where it makes sense and reinvest properly.

I'm a first timer for this show, brilliant guys, really enjoyed it. Feel for Edmundson & Ced the Ted. Top marks for spirit & endeavour for both lads. We had 6 CBs (& Simpson) and Gerrard was desperate to cut that to 4. As soon as we did we struggled all season with trying to get 2 out of the 4 on the park. Simpson must be scary, didn't look that tragic the wee bits I saw! Itten, looked sharp pre-season. Limited chance of gametime must have prompted the loan. His flick up and volley vs M'well was very classy. "Only scores v M'well", a certain Zambian is adored for the same achievement! Think the Malmo exit was the beginning of the end for Gerrard. Realistically it was a 'waste' of a year to get another go at the next step, the league seemed assured given the gap between and performances of both OF. Kinda the Walter / Murray "if we're still in the title race at Christmas..." attitude perhaps! Job offer came at a pivotal point, right thing at the right time for him; family, his son now school age not a toddler just has to say "Wish you could; take me to school / tuck me into bed / read me a story / play football with me everyday" a few times and SG gets buckled by that. Uncle JD, my favourite since DeBoer, proper 🤩😍. We should've kept him until the end of the season, he would have made a difference. Ultimate pro, fantastic ambassador for the club. Loves the club. Lovely human. Goals, every type of goal. That volley, taken 1/2 an inch off the deck, from a 50 yd pass, over his shoulder - WOW. Technically one of the best bits of football we'll ever see. Looking forward to the next episode.

The 2 days the players spent on the piss after the St Mirren win that won the title was extremely unprofessional and when you consider it was in the same week as our Europa league last 16 1st leg tie vs racist FC, it was unforgivable tbh. For me, that was a massive failure of management and I think the complacency and lethargy set in at that time and continued until Gerrard left. On Brandon Barker, Neic Lemmon has just signed him 😆.

That was a great listen. Really enjoyable.
