Thank God! Something to distract after spending far too much time in the FF transfer asylum

I have to humbly disagree on Souttar. I think he can be our best defender with Bassey.

Great show lads 👏🏻🇬🇧

Great pod. I think Kent is a bit harshly criticised sometimes re. his numbers for goal contributions. I think if we sort out the RW position, we would see a difference in his contributions as it’s so easy for teams just to double up on him just now knowing we don’t really have a threat from the right!

Good show, thanks Martyn, Adam & Ally. Some interesting views and opinions. It is difficult to judge due to so many variables in play this close season; Ins? Outs? Outs then ins? Along with Aribo, Bassey & Kamara, Kent (ignoring Leeds 'interest' every window) has raised his profile vastly, similar to Bassey - but not quite, eh? German clubs / media / fans have had plenty of exposure to him and they are very impressed. They are a wealthy market. One to watch out for!! We can only see how the summer transfers unfold but I think we as a support may have to come to terms with changes to how we believe we are as a club and how that works. We believe, because our history has made it so, we should sign bigger/better than we already have. The stark reality is that hasn't always been the case, for many reasons, and now the financial reality is we just can't. The player trading model, deemed crucial to our sustainability, can not work if coupled with buying high value assets which immediately & continuously depreciate, to practically zero. We have to look at Ajax to see how this works. They don't buy ready-made established star players. They are in a continuous cycle of 2 steps forward, 1 step back as their youngsters / shrewd buys develop, flourish and are then sold on. And the cycle begins again. We are most likely in a 'step back' summer! Sorry for going kinda off subject as that isn't team tactics. But it is the club's 'team' tactics, which are going to have a dramatic impact on team playing tactics.
