So, season 2013/14 began and with a whole host of new signings, we'd be fine, right? Unfortunately they weren't available till the following month which proved to be a slight problem as Forfar knocked us out the League Cup.

Join David, David and Rob as they start the next chapter of Ally's time as manager.

I had never watched that Traynor interview so stopped listening to go and watch. Wow. He went full Paxman in a club puff piece with Ally McCoist. Just, why? What a tool.

Accidentally clicked on this instead of the latest Dominant. The almost ‘Apocalypse Now’ levels of sudden dread that washed over me when I heard Shampoo rather than The Style Council is a visceral feeling I can’t accurately convey. Forfar for fuck’s sake…

So glad I had moved to Sweden in 2012 these seasons would have ended up with me having a criminal record. It must disturb your sleep lads having to relive this shite.

Great show, sometimes it seemed that Ally was playing FM with some of his tactics and selection but he’s still my hero. Also good to see I’m not the only one who can get banned from FF 😂😂😂

Forfar - I still wake up in a cold sweat at that one. 13 hour round trip to get pumped out of the cup - raging. In my top 3 of debacles during this period although I have about 10 games at least getting into that top 3 Friday night football fantastic other than trying to get across the A66 when all the cunts in the world are out in their fucking caravans going to the Lake District. Was worth it for the result and then dodging round the skirmishes the young team were having whilst walking back to the car with my 66 year old dad telling them to go and have a beer and get a woman for the night!! Banter years - what banter years!!

It was brutal. When Forfar ko’d us you realised we had already blown one of the few chances for any light on a drab season.

I’m sure I detached myself these years so listening back is funny that mccoist fitness quote wow haha

I actually completely forgot about Forfar. Jesus

Thanks David, Rob & David for your endurance in bringing us this series. Only another ... 🤔 ... 24? episodes to go before it starts to get fun again? 😳 Self sacrifice & dedication a trainee Buddhist monk would be proud of 👏 TBH, I don't actually remember the Forfar fiasco as a particular stand out. I think I'd grown so accustomed to such shame & disappointments by then it wasn't a shock 🙄 (it wasn't really was it !?!) Traynor! Again, I don't vividly remember this, the actual detail. I remember the related chat about it at Ibrox during these games but my attitude was WhyTF u surprised? Its Traynor! I'd actually cut myself off from all MSM in March 2012. FF too a bit later. It had more chaff than wheat (plus too many tim trolls & too many of 'our own' not acting like it!) By this point even official RFC site & YouTube was ignored due to the nonsense of musical chairs-men etc. Like was said 'head down' - I just went, supported the team & cheered them on. I don't do open criticism, I do 'debrief' performance rationally with fellow bears around me or pals later but to me supporter means supporting! Good or bad. I went home happy or unhappy but had developed the mindset the disappointment was over & done by the time I got back to the car. Winning & losing in similar measures IS the life of 99% of supporters of other clubs, a life we'd not had since I was going as a boy/teen pre-Souness. We are Rangers but we're entitled to nothing, we have to earn our wins & successes. Core club values laid down by Mr Struth - look, act, prepare, try the best to be the best.

100% Until Tav lifted that trophy and it was heads high & chests puffed right out 😉🙂 Thanks again guys. This series is like an accident investigation - gruesome but necessary!
