That's a statement signing, would not have happened without Europa run. Superb summer so far.

Samuel Campbell

Grumpy oul man in me doesn't like him being number 71 but does look potentially a great signing

Brian Rae

A player who looks to have a lot of potential. The option to buy is crucial here.

Graham McCallum

Do we know how much the exclusive right to buy may cost yet?

His profile kind of reminds me of Dele Alli. Tall, athletic, can play up top as a 10 or as an 8. Hopefully we get a few seasons like the ones Alli had under Pochettino from him. Great signing.

Paul Dunnachie

Competition for places between goal scoring midfielders… this signing is a potential cherry on top of of an increasingly worthy transfer window.

Graeme Shankland

Excited about our signings so far,Gio shaping up his own team slowly but surely 👍

Decent bit of business but we’ve yet to make any impact on the first team yet, and it looks like we’re going to lose Bassey, especially if it’s true that Man Utd and Arsenal have entered the race. Then again, the price will have gone up. What we’ve brought in look like squad players to me. I’m not certain they improve the first choice eleven. I don’t see the picture coming together yet with what we’ve signed, but maybe we’ll have a better idea after a raft of friendlies. We need to make a statement at some point, but the business today was well structured.

After listening to the Daily Update yesterday, I agree in saying that this is a Great bit of Business for our Club.

Rangers really need to stick to their guns and force a £20 Million + deal for him.

Welcome to Malik hope we're cheering him on for years to come. From the structure of the deal; loan, option to buy, option for Bayern to buy back. That suggests Bayern rate him VERY highly but he's at that pivotal 'next step' stage in his career between great potential (& performance when able) and great player week in week out. Our development of Aribo & Bassey has shown we can get players to take that next step and Bayern are using that plus giving the player an opportunity for high level Euro games he's less likely to get there. If he progresses like Bassey last sesson, they'll take him back. Or if he's still a bit 'under cooked' we'll get to buy him. A season or two and he progresses to where he's like Kamara in summer 21, Aribo this summer and we could make big money on him, Bayern will trigger their buy back clause (probably at a decent few £ for our work).
