As for Rangers having respect down in England , not anyone I knew 😂 I had lived in England for a few years at that stage and all I got was 0-2 Ibrox and 4-0 Elland road. Even after the first leg it was going to be easy for Leeds , English delusion is only bettered by the Tim’s. Straight to the pub after both legs , loving it.

Is there any way to fix the audio volume on certain podders' inputs? Some very very quiet compared to others.

Lee Colvin

What a great few weeks to be alive!!

Lee Colvin

I was in the family section at that cup final, this was the terracing at the corner nearest the main stand.Pretty sure that was the last time it happened?

Martyn Ramsay

It would have been yeah. This was the last cup final at hampden with any terracing I think. Both finals in 1993 were at Parkhead as it was fully seated and then the South stand was developed in 96 and 97

When we left Ibrox after the first leg, I thought it would be difficult, my mate said “I would not bet against us 2-1 up against anyone” Always describe the away game in Leeds as the best game I’ve not been at, what an atmosphere we had watching it that night, it was absolutely unreal.

Andy McGowan

I'm paranoid about my sound quality but it's actually OK this time! Whose input are you finding quiet?

John Mcmillan

I got Married Friday October 2nd, on Sat Oct 3rd went to Ibrox with the new wife and she saw her secret crush super Ally score 4 against Falkirk. The game at Elland Road, for me, made Goram a legend and was the night I started watching TV games standing up in the living room, to nervous to sit, something I still do today Great show Martyn, once again

Always remember being in Ibiza with the wife at the Ibrox game and a leeds fan came in and said leeds were 1 up to which I said was bullshit as game hadn't kicked off ( I was wrong ) ,always had a soft spot for leeds but my heart sank Rangers being 1 goal down ....... strange night singing Rangers songs with 7 Ayrshire farmers ( only time of year they could go on holiday ) and 1 young University dude ( all mates) who was going to be a sports reporter ( not something you hear everyday ) ...... apparently an Ayr fan nowadays and at the top of his profession ( I'd thats possible I that industry )

Blair Grant

I find Martyn very quiet. Listening in a quiet room just now so it's not awful but notably quieter than Andy and John so when he passes over it's like quiet to very loud and back and forth. Great show though and I'm only pointing out in case it's something that's helpful, keep them coming, this series is wonderful

LAURENCE MACRAE

Was in University in Aberdeen at this time, the day after the second leg I went into the central library and read every single papers report on the game , glorious times when we were as big as you could get in the UK on and off the park.

Stuart Borland

Really enjoying this. I remember the rangers news headline after we won at Elland Road... Slay the Leeds and you're smiling 😂

Stephen Rankine

Loved the line from John “Snelders was never a big risk taker”,shat it to play in Old Firms & big internationals for Holland.

Callum Dinnen

The one weird thing about this season is that it doesn't really have a stand out Old Firm win. The New Year game stands out as the only win at Ibrox in the league against them in 5 seasons but it's not a remarkable result at the time.

Callum Dinnen

Also, on the sense of it being a perfect season - I was 7 in 1992, and the first season I remember was 1991/92. The calendar year 1992 must be one of the greatest in our history, and I can't imagine that many Rangers fans will have had a better first couple of years as a supporter. I think that's why the (spoilers) Levski result hits me so hard. I loved Martyn's pod on the CSKA game he did as part of the Feeling Blue series, but I was too young to appreciate the significance. As far as I knew, Rangers just won everything in sight; the idea we got knocked out the first round in Europe was just so alien by 1993.

Thanks again for another wonderful episode of Dominant Martyn ably assisted by John & Andy. The achievements of this episode are monumental in our history but I always consider the actual games against Leeds were far far closer than the results and retrospect / revisionist views held. We could, perhaps should, have taken a tonking at Elland Road but we did what had been done to us so many many times - scored the right goals at the right times and ended up winners. I do recall thinking this was the next step to us being a real, big, established, 'proper' European heavyweight who routinely rode out the storm and hit when it mattered to shatter the dreams of their plucky opposition, now dishing it out instead of always being on the receiving end. Very enjoyable to re-live this and another great episode of this majestic series. ps - I also found a large difference in audio levels on this episode, Martyn being particularly low compared to Andy & John.

Rob Shorthouse

The McCoist goal at Elland Road is my absolute favourite Rangers goal, by quite some distance. It is a thing of wonder. And, I was one of the poor saps who had to avoid the result and watch the first leg as live. Was torture.

Gary Brown

Sure is Rob, definitely in my top 3 too. I was the only 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 & Gers fan in a bar in Dover watching it on TV. Getting stick all night, our 1st goal was 'lucky', a 'fluke', like our equaliser at Ibrox, Goram was English anyway, etc Soon as it went to Big Mark I just started repeatedly screaming "This is it!!", just knew Super would be at the back stick. It is the one & only time I've cheered "Goal" as the ball was hit and not when the ball hit the net - can't explain my 'clairvoyance' it just happened and no repeat before or since🤣

Scott Christian

What a time to be a Bluenose. I did watch the home game live in Ayr on an Ulster aerial at the “Club” & then watched the return leg at home with neighbour who was supporting us even though if he liked any team it was Them. I must admit I admire John’s confidence; I was still panicking at 2-0 as we had taken such a doing and IMHO this was The Goalie’s greatest ever performance. At times it felt like Leeds v Goram and he was utterly magnificent. Two wonderful evenings following the team!

William Cameron

My folk memory of this as you say has never been the defence or the either Rangers goals, my memory is of Cantona V Goarm, at times it was like there was nobody else on the park. Goarm was incredible, best GK performance in Rangers history.

Paul Dunnachie

Such an exciting period… Leeds games, Cup Final, Celtic all coming within the space of about 3 weeks. In the first third of this season, Rangers were possibly at the most assertive & focussed on battering teams that you’ll find over the entire period of Dominance. Going to Tannadice and dismantling Dundee United was a powerful statement of intend for the season. Wonderful times though and it felt like there were no limits to what this Rangers side could achieve.
