Lawrence's goal was undoubtedly down to luck but for years we have been lacking shots from distance. I'd like to know how many goals we have scored from outside the box in recent years. We try to walk the ball into the net every time. Just goes show that if you change it up and have a crack you never know. I think this team needs to mix it up a bit in terms of what I mention above and then mix of playing out from the back and direct football. Too many times we play ourselves into trouble at the back.

Colak loves being here and he’s going to score a barrow load of goals this season. Lots to be pleased about last night and the tie is still there to be won. Thought the fans were tremendous once again. Going to be tough next Wednesday but this team can put in a performance and go through. No surrender. WATP

Need to give Lawrence the credit for trying it, he put as much spin on it as he could. He got the aim right to bounce it short & make it difficult for the GK - if Ronaldo, etc do that = it's goal of the season, if it's a mere mortal = GK howler! All to play for! A one off game as big as the UEL Final for the restoration of our European status and financially it's bigger. Believe, dream and support the team like we did for the Seville Final and amazing things can happen.

Goldson has been poor this season, no question. To be fair to him though, he’s played 6 games so far with at least 3 centre halves beside him - Souttar, Sands and Davies; 2 of those are brand new - as well as a “new” goalkeeper. That’s challenging for anyone.

The keeper had fumbled a fairly pedestrian shot from Tillman just a couple of minutes before so I did wonder if he was deliberately trying to get the ball to bounce and skid right in front of the keeper to test him again

Yes, saw that. A pretty common tactic on a wet (skite-ey) pitch isn't it? Sadly couldn't make the match but in that situation it goes through the mind even as a supporter watching, Ally mentioned it in the BT commentary too. Its just about giving Lawrence some credit, all the media giving it "GK was a donkey" and ok he didn't do well but you can see Lawrence 'cut' across the ball CR7 style and most players now have a go at that to get the lighter match balls to 'move' a bit oddly in flight. Credit where its due, I've been very impressed with Lawrence so far.
