Alan is joined this week by Gordon from Auckland, New Zealand. The guys discuss, amongst other things :-

A remarkable backstory where a young proud Scotsman (Gordon’s father), lands in Auckland after WW2 and meets and marries a lovely young Māori girl from Opua in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. 

A Bluenose from birth, Gordon and his siblings were raised by their parents with an emphasis on proper values, hard work, respect for others, a fondness for Rangers and “ The old Country”. 

This ultimately led to Gordon’s amazing career within media and communications roles specialising in football, but also working in Rugby, Cricket, and the Olympic and Commonwealth Games. Commentating for various TV companies and also a Ballon d’or jury panelist between 2007-21.  He is currently in the role of Media Manager of Auckland City FC.
