Andy and Ross are back to discuss another game that lives long in the memory for all the wrong reasons.

This week they are joined by Ross’ friend Richy Ballantyne to discuss the League Cup Semi-Final defeat to Motherwell in 2017. The lads dissect the Pedro tenure, their thoughts on the club at the time and how far we have moved in the years since.

Great show, was at a wedding so only saw the 1st half. Dear me. There was a couple of decent results in the run up to the game from memory, so I was feelling like we were starting to get places. After that it felt like the end. Totally clueless....

Feeling Blue is a great series, thanks Andy & Ross. And this is another great episode thanks to Richy. Well done for bringing along your personal demon - I hope the chat with lads has helped to slay it for you. Personally this game was not a dramatic low for me, it was just another crap performance and result we'd become well accustomed to in the Wilderness Years. Even if Pedro had gone on to be a roaring success this was too early in his tenure with too many new players at the same new stage to expect too much this early in the season, even more so with the actual form of the team & results. This one isn't a recurring nightmare for me, just in the pile of mulch from that period. I don't even remember the goals, or even the game!! (perhaps my coping mechanism!). In the bigger picture I do remember the feelings of huge disappointment, given all the investment in players. By Pedro's sacking / end of that season I had the dreadful fear, more of a realisation, that we WERE back to being the early 80s Rangers I endured as a young lad / teenager. This game was a big milestone in that particular journey. But what if we'd won it??? Making a final. The expectation we could win this 'genuine' piece of silverware again, 'our' Cup! (still not done it eh?). But I think we all know how it would've panned out!! A bigger demon and a longer Feeling Blue episode in that alternative universe! Great show lads, well done Richy, thanks again👏👍

Peña was a disgrace that game
