Hoggy and Cammy are back, in sombre mood.  They reflect on:

- Rangers trip to Parkhead and not learning lessons

- Ajax in the Champions League

- the manager's comments and style of play

- what happens next.

The also pay tribute to HRH Queen Elizabeth II, a truly remarkable woman.

Cammy saying the positive is that we can learn from the Ajax result. I’m not so sure as we still can’t defend corners after losing goals near every week from them and we certainly didn’t learn from the last hiding at Celtic Park. Hope he’s right but i’m not holding my breath.

Recruitment and proper investment are key, ours has been a disgrace and non-existent for 2 seasons. I'm not a scout but I'll give you my opinion, Having watched Davies in his Preston days and a few of his games last season, If both players are fit, Helander is still a better defender than Davies. It isn't just the playing squad that needs an overhaul. Also, McCann is 20, same as Tilman, he should now be starting games on a regular basis.

Gregor McNeish

We need to start playing Morelos. He looks trim and ready to go on his latest insta. Ge gives us something we don't have. A number 10 & 9 in one player.

Thanks for the show gents on what has been a sobering week for our great club and sad week for our country. Just back from Amsterdam which was a great trip apart from the obvious. Fans mixed well, beers were had and Johan Cruyff Arena was a fantastic place to visit (humbling aside) so we can be proud of that at least. In discussion with fans after the game 3 points came out strongly, now that we have this squad till January: 1. Given that the performance levels have fallen off a cliff, the players either don't buy into the 'style' of football(or at least what they work on in training) or are incapable of executing the movement and pace required to make it work, either way we need to reflect on this and play to our strengths. 2. The lack of effort and dig is completely unacceptable for any Rangers team, so get it sorted and fucking quickly! 3. A good commanding goalkeeper, something we have had the fortune to have for decades can at least shore up a defence that is struggling (this is more pointed to Parkhead than Amsterdam but the point still remains)McLaughlin is not the man. We can't magic up a player, but they can roll our sleeves up, grow a set and start fighting for the club, themselves and fans who are rapidly losing patience. Longer term it looks like next summer is the major overhaul season and now that we understand the financial constraints it is all deeply worrying.

Lads a great listen. You both hit the right tone with where we are at the moment with the team. I'm on board with throwing our young talented midfielders into the side. McCann & Lowry would give the team drive and creativity which has been lacking over the last two matches

Paul Coulter

Can we not download on patreon anymore guys??

Pedro

A tactful and class way to recommence the pods guys, well done. Of course expected nothing less. Would love to see more rotation within the squad, there is scope to do within games by making changes earlier. It would be interesting to see how McCann fares in a Rangers midfield against other premier teams, agree with the comment that he's ages with Tilman and if we believe there's talent there then give him the opportunity.

Jack Fletcher

IMHO all the signs are there that indicate Gio has lost the dressing room. Tactics are either baffling , nonexistent or useless. This can only go one way. It is only a matter of time.

George Joyce

Was wondering that as well Paul

Gregg

Think we need to get away from thinking playing 19 and 20 year olds is a gamble. 10 experienced players and one youngster against the “jobbers” is not a gamble.

Doug Young

Great listen. Very fair point above on McCann and Tillman. McCann definitely ready for a proper introduction as is Lowry. If there's one thing we need it's some gallusness. On Scott Wright. I would be interested to see his stats comparative to Kent. He must have more goals in the last 12 months in a fraction of the minutes?

Stephen Dunn

Agree with this. Big clubs like Ajax, Dortmund etc don't think twice about throwing their young kids in regardless of opposition. It's about time we done the same. King in for Sands, McCann in for Kamara for me.

Hoggy

Thanks guys. A strange pod to record and trying to guess what you wanted.

David Angus

The returns we get stats wise (goals / assists) is shambolic in comparison to the stinkies and a massive factor in where we are compared to them. Whether that's down to style or the individual is another argument completely but the return we get from wide attacking areas is pretty abysmal.

Stephen Rankine

Definitely time to give McCann a run in midfield he’s the same age as Barry Ferguson when Advocaat decided to put him in for an extended run in the team.Going back even further in time to the 80s I remember Derek Ferguson & Ian Durrant getting into the team at 17/18.

Keiren hastie

I’d love cammy to explain how they haven’t recruited well. In 3 windows they’ve got 2 good players in every position and got 15+ goals in every player in the forward line compared to us.

George Harrison

We may as well give up now if starting one ‘young’ player is considered a risk too far ! Let’s face it, the league is gone, and we’re outclassed in the Champion's League, so why not throw in a youngster or two ?

Gavin

They key point missed in your guys assessment for me is we lack identity. What is our plan? Where are our rotations in the wide areas? Rotations through midfield? Love lundstram and what he does for this team and has an important role to play but to expect him to be the midfield that gets the ball off the back for a play passes through midfield isn’t his strength. Risky or not giving his age mccan has shown is glimpses he is happy to play balls through midfield at a quicker pace, which in turn will quicken our attack. Not just because of the last two results but obviously highlights everything more profoundly, but something clearly isn’t working within this set up we can all see it even at the start of the season. What that is only the people behind the scenes know. Interesting to see what happens next… My prediction Gio is giving the time, but to no prevail, team gets points in the expected games, draws in the tough games and loses in the big big games. We will see the season out with little success, possibly a cup win and Gio will go at the end of the season. My preference We clear the manager out now and get a fresh pair of eyes on this squad, I believe there is more there than what Gio is getting from them. Time will tell.

Jock Paterson

Cheers lads 👍 May I ask, has the vocal volume been turned down a bit? Struggling to hear sometimes depending on the environment, but the intro music still seems the same level 🤔

Scott Watson

Thank you gentlemen, not an easy one I imagine Let's hope for Rangers and the wider world to throw us some more positive topics to discuss next weekend

Michael Gray

Cammy- their recruitment has been more than decent recently. Ours has been a shambles. Difficult to admit, but they’ve got their shit together. As a club, we’ve got stale. Only things that seems to matter right now is above bringing in money. Seem to have forgotten how it invest it properly

Douglas Innes

Like both you guys said GVB learned nothing from February and worse still learned nothing from the Sc Cup semi final win , big game coming up on Wednesday if there seems a lack of fight and application I fear GVB has lost the dressing room and the players won't buy into the GVB ethos ......

John Palmer

I used to Work for CTM at their Head Office here in Brisbane. Hearing about the debacle they made is disgraecful and I hope Rangers dump them as their Travel provider.
