Maybe some fair comments in Boyd's column, but it's clearly intended to push an editorial line.

£71 for a Club Deck ticket to MyGers supporters. A disgrace!

james whyte

£65 for the corner where away fans wwould be and I looked a cpl hours ago and CD2 was £71. Thats taking the piss eh. Anyway, Mon The Famous!

It's incredibly annoying that we have two of our longest-serving and robust players (Tav & Morelos) struggling with fitness for various reasons when we finally have champions league games again. Incidentally, they are still our most influential players after 7 and 5 years respectively. Yes, that's definitely a dig at a certain DOF who excels in corporate wank speak and little else.

Jamie Kirk

Or did Tav question the manager at HT against Ajax and was substituted because of it. And it’s been covered with an “injury” that’s what I have heard.

Robert White

Greegsy? Our odds have improved, no offence to John who is a good keeper but I rewatched our Euro run: Greegsy time and time again. Oh and put in the youngsters if we have injuries, loads of clubs do that. Be brave.

Douglas Hannah

McGregor might be getting on a bit, but he would be my choice all day long, JM quite simply will never be No1 at Rangers.

John Smith

Don’t know much about Kyle Fox but if Paul Murray likes her then I think that’s a good indication of her character. Obviously with what happened 10 years ago we have to be very careful when we are dealing with investors but I think if the chance arose to potentially significantly expand our budget everyone of us would be on board

Heart and Hand

I highly doubt she's looking to buy the club to put money in. Consortiums want to make money, not spend it. We need to stop being naive and assuming people with no connection to us want to spend their money on our hobby out of the goodness of their heart.

John Smith

You’re probably right David but like you, I am an eternal optimist 😁

Graham Jones

Boyd can be a bit of a dipshit at times, but what he’s wrote is mostly fair comment. It’s probably what’s been running through most of our minds, so I think he’s just voicing what’s in his head as well. Sure, he’s writing for a newspaper, but I’m not sure this was a line to push. He’s stating the obvious so it’s out there. GvB had the same sort of job at Feyenoord, where margins were tight and it was about returns in the market. We do need to near from the club on their thinking, because the lack of communication is leaving the media a chance to fill it. Wilson’s record hasn’t been great at Rangers, but we simply don’t know if that’s the full story. I don’t think we’ll hear from any of them until the AGM, to be honest. There is no chance in hell that supposed bid from the US is in any way good for us. We’re talking about the dregs of the business world who have no interest in our club. We aren’’t short of investors either, because the club have people ready to take up any new shares that could be issued. Any other investment has to be commercial, and those are scrutinised by UEFA to make sure they are market capped. I actually think this is potentially illegal regarding markers rules, but that’s another story.

Would there be a correlation between the value of Douglas Parks shares and healthy/profitable balance sheet? As in, if he’s wanting out then we don’t spend extra money on players, have better financial results therefore his shares will be worth more? Just wondering as I’m no expert in these areas

David

I would have had Katic over Goldon right now if I could wave a magic wand. The fact the coaches couldn't tell him what they want out of their defence is a bit of a worry.

Graeme McLeod

Can't see any positive in being bought by a sugar daddy or a foreign consortium. Having several large shareholders who are Rangers minded at least protects us from what David Murray did in the past - no billionaire is going to buy a Scottish football club and pump money into it looks we've seen in England.

Graeme McLeod

Can't say I'm disappointed that Jon McLaughlin is out. Remain firmly rooted in my opinion he's not good enough to be anything other than a backup for us. A back four with an injured Tav, a midfielder playing out of position and Goldson in poor form? God speed, pilgrims...

Craig

This takeover story is giving me the horrors, flashing right back to 2012 with the sort of characters involved.

Mark Boyd

A lot of what katic said is fair. You must have at points big aggressive centre backs

Scott Tolmie

Katic was ideal for Scotland, you need to have an out and out defender in the league and cover for his lack of baresi passes

Dougie Jones

Regarding the takeover rumours, who knows what may happen but I for one would not want some multinational entity taking us over. The present board have their flaws without a doubt but it's no small thing to have the club led by bona fide Rangers men that nevertheless won a historic title and reached a European final. Yes we want more but I would always want that kind of deep-rooted connection if at all possible.

Thanks for the update David 👍🙂 Condolences to Super Ally & the family. Sad passing, Ally often nentions how big an influence his mum was on his career. Thanks Mrs McCoist. God Bless. Rest In Peace.

The transfer strategy seems to be driven by what I see as the inappropriate ‘model’ that has been discussed over the last year. Rather than spending money on players that go right into the 1st 11 in order to win the league, our model means we are constantly on the look out for bargains which can be flipped for profit - such as Matondo, he was worth 11m once - bolstered by short term ‘fixes’ like Bacuna or Ramsey.

AGS

Best wishes to Super Ally and the passing of his mum: RIP and thank you
