What was Naismith like as a coach ?

John Smith

I think Naisy would be a tremendous Rangers manager in the future. I know he made a tit of it with how he left but he was also a magnificent servant to the club. Hope he gets a shot at redemption one day

Greg

Fuck "naisy"

Billy Forrester

Naismith as a future Rangers Manager, I’ve heard it all now. Oh good god, please tell me you were joking, I mean let’s just go full blown mental and have Ian Black as his assistant manager too 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

James Forrest

On Naismith, I saw him after the game. I think he was more excited to see me than I was to see him...

John Smith

I don’t think it’s fair to compare Naismith with Ian Black. Yes, he made a howler of a clanger, but I don’t doubt for one minute he either liked doing that or would do it again if he could turn back the clock. Every time he played for us he gave everything and he even took a wage cut to help us out. I don’t know, I just think when you’ve got Kenny Miller still being fondly thought of (and I do also) he did something far worse in my eyes by signing for them. Again just my opinion

John Smith

From what I hear he’s doing a good job with Hearts B team. I think that’s probably the toughest test we’ve had this season.

Billy Forrester

I’m just dumbfounded that his name would even be mentioned as a Rangers Manager, that’s all. I doubt very much that he will ever be near Ibrox in an employment capacity by us ever again. Each to their own opinion though John, I just think there would be no chance of that ever happening

John Smith

I totally get that sentiment Billy. What he done was a brainfart of the highest order, but is it forgivable ? If we can forgive players for other stuff I would argue yes. I do agree with you though it probably will never happen. A whole side of my family are Jambos so I get quite a bit of info from the maroon half of Edinburgh. And they really seem to think he could go on to be an elite coach/manager. Just think it would be great if he was given a second chance and led us to a great era of success. But again, fantasy land stuff on my end most likely lol
