It's bonus CROpod content as Shane is joined by H&H regular and Nolecast host Ingram Smith to discuss why we love college football so much. Not missing a chance to score points, Shane reminds Ingram of the 1998 National Championship game as often as possible as both the guys are living vicariously through glory years for their respective programs gone by. But the pair find common ground on the unique social experience that is NCAA football, especially in the south.

Really enjoyed listening to this, thanks Shane & Ingram. Very interesting to learn about the reasons why college football is so hugely popular. I knew the stadia & support numbers were fkin HUGE - and always wondered why. The always gonna be there in your home town (& not boxed up, shipped 1000s of miles and renamed eg Alaska Aligators) was one element which surprised me (surprisingly!!! I'm not thick, just hadn't thought of it that way before) and did bring me great pleasure as its the generic 'my club' support we have in ⚽️. Franchise sport is so alien to the rest of the world and its difficult to understand how anyone can have any love & affinity for a team who will move if they fancy. Its great to know that with college 🏈 our US cousins do get to have the same 'for the love of the club(school)' as we ⚽️ supporters do.

With all due respect, I don't pay my subscription to listen to pods on American football.

Well don’t listen to it then! It doesn’t interfere with all the other shows about UK football! You pay around 2p per hour of content per month David so if you don’t think you’re getting enough value for money, we’ll need to respectfully disagree.

Good thing David put up 6 other shows Saturday, then! 😂

I pay my subscription to get insights into Mr Edgar’s goth attire for Cure concerts. 100% satisfied this month.

Unless it’s Sands and Tillman - don’t get me started on vabbing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just don’t do wigs. Seen it with Bon Jovi fans. A line crossed you don’t come back from.

Well said mr Edgar there’s is a superb range of pods on the network and all for a measly £1.99 it’s great value , I don’t listen to every show mostly because I don’t have the time and partly because some of the shows like this one will not be for me but for someone to moan about it and say that’s not what they pay for I’m sorry that’s rubbish , keep up the great content david there are thousands on here who appreciate it

Great pod guys. Have a growing interest in college football and the wee breakdown of how it works without all the jargon helped!. Visiting FL next month & was hoping to catch a collage game but all the teams seem to be away from home when I’m there, so going to Jaguars v Raiders instead. Keep up the good work!.

I can fully understand not wanting to hear my voice, too.
