Dyche just feels like a massive step backwards and an expensive one at that.

It's a mark of the success of our Everyone Anyone campaign that as a support we're ready and accepting of the prospect of a red head called Sean as our manager :-)

Thanks for covering my question. I tend to agree that it’d take either a change in the agreement with Castore or a new agreement with someone else to see merchandise revenue recognition change KM’s assertion it doesn’t impact FFP would back up your view it ends up treated consistently presumably with greater disclosure in a club’s submission to UEFA than is in the accounts

re Sean Dyche I don’t know if anyone else ever listens to the Athletico Mince podcast but Bob Mortimer has ensured I can’t take the guy seriously

Sean Dyche lololol ...careful what you wish for

Martin Davies

Thanks for taking us laymen though the accounts Andy

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update David & especially Andy. This financial update is great news in the wider scope of the club. Stablility & growth off the field lead to stability & growth on it! Cool tune too, never heard it before 👍

I'm utterly convinced those matching clauses were waiting for us at the end of the 7 year deal anyway.

Spoon

Excellent stuff from Andy, hard no to Dyche.

Andy McGowan

I think you're right. It was such a one sided deal there would have been no end to it

Rod

For me it was still the right call doing what we did.

Michael Thomson

I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone who would have a problem with the directors taking their loans back. What doesn’t sit right with me is all of them calling the full amount in, all at the same time, at the first whiff of a profit from the club. It doesn’t exactly scream long term commitment to me.

Graham Jones

FFP seems to be there with good intentions, but it’s poorly executed. It simply stifles clubs from making progress. I get the feeling it’ll become so unpopular that UEFA will have to change a lot of it or they will have a mutiny on their hands. Really good breakdown from Andy. I’m. Not sure £8m would’ve bought us out of the SD contract five years ago. We were in a very different world then. It was probably the protraction of litigation that allowed for the situation change where they would be happy with that figure. Ashley wanted blood from us at the time. People are in danger of forgetting that. It’s never as simple as blaming King for it. He probably helped lay the ground for this settlement. Absolutely no to Sean Dyche. He did a good job with Burnley, but that was in the past. The game has changed and I get the feeling his methods haven’t.
