My fear is Beale will give the same underperforming players yet another chance. New contracts etc. Get a tune out of them for a month or so then they'll do what they always do and let us down. I just think it calls for a fresh approach not someone we recently had.

You have talked all week about backing the new manager with whatever he needs. Did we do that with Gio? Won first 7 league games and got us in ko stage of Europa. Then after the early break we drew a couple and had the mare against them. Backing stopped then. Despite getting to Euro final. Gio was badly let down by board, Wilson and players. Let’s hope the new guy gets better support all round including fans

Also, fact is any manager getting tonked at Parkhead and blowing a lead will lose backing. It might not be fair but that’s the reality.

Grates with me as well bud, well said. Every pod I listened to since he was chased out as if it was the only option had the litany of issues he faced but for loads of fans on here and other forums he was slated personally and professionally. My main ire though is with this bunch of absolute chancers in the squad, they are 99% responsible for where we are in terms of points. Them getting any kind of bounce from getting a guy sacked sticks in my throat, they should have been applying themselves properly from start of season. In my whole time supporting the team no player or group was bigger than the team, the manager being sold out by this mob regardless of their like or dislike of his approach or tactics is a horrendous reflection on their professionalism. I suspect the fact he was more Dutch authoritarian and less hugs for the fragile egos we have didn’t sit well but it’s what this mob badly needed. David is correct though I will be supporting whoever comes in as regardless of how we got here we all want success. I won’t have the same affinity with the old guard as I had previously though, I don’t include the new signings but your Morelos, Kent, Arfield, Tav, Kamara even Goldson etc in ho make up this ‘senior players group’ are rotten if half the rumours about how they conducted themselves are true.

Great song choice as usual! As for strengthening I think the spine of team needs proper 1st choice players added especially considering the players leaving in summer! We do also need support at right back! I would be content if that support is either a project player or loan as money desperately needs spent on the midfield! I hope Beale also gives mccrorrie a shot before end of season if for no other reason to see if he is good enough!

They did to a point Colak, Davies, Tillman, Ridvan and Lawrence had a fair few pounds spent on them. However I agree he was let down badly after the psv result at least 1 player should have been added even on loan! Wilson simply must have an amazing January or he should be sent packing!

Your of course right but it lessened a lot of them in my view, a manager should fail on his own merits not have their legs done by a group who have shown us time and again they have a mentality problem. It smacks of spoilt teenager petulance. Onwards and upwards, just want it settled and a common direction for all to move in, don’t like when it’s all out of kilter.

1, I'm still pissed with the amount of injuries we have and not seeing the majority back by the end of the year, and 2, I'll get behind Beale if he's the guy but in my opinion I think it's a backward step for us, and we'll struggle.

Having no central defense at present is a major concern.. So for me its get the centre back pairing right, and build from there. Oh ....and get rid of the injury prone and those that downed tools, they have shortchanged us all.

Gotta admit, Beale's wee jaunt about Glasgow a few weeks ago, is looking pretty grim now. Even if I was to give him and the club the benefit of the doubt, I can't help but feel it was a distinct lack of class from everyone involved.
