Graeme McLeod

Celtic should be absolutely nowhere near any commemoration of the Ibrox disaster. I can appreciate some Celtic supporters - more likely those who were alive when it happened - may wish to pay their respects, but the vast majority of the match going Celtic crowd would not show any respect. As petty as it may seem, they shouldn't be involved.

Gregg

On Ross Wilson whilst we judge his role on what we see on the park - the board will likely have a wider view. He has raised the guts of £50m in the last couple of windows through player sales - which a few years ago would have been seen as nigh on impossible. If they think he’s doing a good job though - some more communication on wider remit may go some way to help. Being pedantic boggy said the board aren’t investing in the club through the goodness of their hearts as they are getting equity. It seems unlikely to be they are getting all that money back - we do forget at times that they are fans too - hoggy did mention this in fairness.

Gary Q

Great point on the Goldson contract, Hoggy. Although not exactly the same, wonder if that’s also a factor with the Kent/Alfie situation. And we shouldn’t have that lot anywhere near Ibrox for New Year games.

Greg

Amazing how Morelos long term injury is just totally glossed over.

Hoggy

I did - I specifically said that most of us want an element of fan ownership. It's exactly what we have today

Hoggy

I don't think anyone asked about Morelos' injury??

Gary Shaw

Great show guys but the point on Walter starting a rammy with big Mixu for no reason other than to get a reaction from the stands is totally false and has always annoyed me when I hear it brought up…the reason he went for him is because Novo made a terrible two footed challenge on a Hibs player right in front of the technical areas and Mixu raced out his seat screaming at the Ref to send Nacho off (which he duly did).

Heart and Hand

It wasn’t no reason but Walter admitted later he reacted far more than he would normally to buy some extra time.

Gary Shaw

You may be right,David but I genuinely think big Mixu really boiled his blood that day with his reaction to Nachos challenge.

Hoggy

Walter did it two or three times. When he did it, he meant it for his own reasons. I think anyway

Gary Shaw

He probably did Hoggy but just that instance in particular that you spoke about was sparked by the Hibs bench reaction to Nachos challenge….I still love the show mate😉

Hoggy

I’ve seen a thousand challenges in front of Walter. Hence my view. And I hope so dude. When you don’t, I’ll stop 😁

Jamie

I am starting from that point re. Beale, Hoggy, you are right mate. But that is because I feel he is terrible at two main aspects of his jobs, player recruitment and transfers. I just feel badly for Gio because of him, and also worry for Beale who I feel will probably face the same issues. Ps, enjoyed the discussion.

John Walker

Lots of good talking points. I have been impressed with Mr Beale's initial interview's. Just hope he gets that reaction we all want. I think it's a bit unfair to put Kent in the same bracket as Morelos. The former has had too many chances in my opinion.

Graeme McLeod

Walter actually spoke specifically about the Mixu situation and said it was to fire up his players. He'd known Mixu for years and he was actually someone that Mixu would look to for advice, thus Mixu being bewildered when Walter wanted a rammy with him.

Gary Shaw

The main reason was the reaction of the Hibs bench mate…he said it post match aswell…I know he had a lot of time for Mixu but he was raging at their reaction to the tackle first and foremost

Graeme McLeod

The main reason was to get a reaction from the Rangers players. Walter himself said he overreacted to fire his players up. He was in complete control of his emotions, which wouldn't have been the case if he'd just lost it because of how the Hibs bench were behaving.

Spoon

Great comment from Graham McLeod in similar mind. Of course wish Beale all the best but finding it hard to get behind this squad of chancers who more than anyone put us where we are. Wouldn’t surprise me if the out drinking was a bit of PR smoothing the way, the board black arts in action!

David Herd

Another great listen. Totally agree on the comments about the disaster tribute. If you'd want me on the show, I'd be delighted to take part.

Rona Bluebell

Love hearing Caroline’s views. Talks sense, always.

James McConnachie

I get what you are saying Graeme but I’ve got a slightly different spin on it. Let them come and let them embarrass themselves. Rather than this Brother Walfrid pish they pedal let people see and hear what they stand for. They can’t even write Rangers in their blogs and official account such is their level of unreasoning hatred. I genuinely don’t think it’s a minority any more. Radicalisation is the word.

Bruce Burns

Really enjoyed listening to this on my walk with the dog this morning. Caroline is perfect for this show, really well thought out responses to the questions. Well done guys

Ross McDonald

Always enjoy listening to the hamper. I'm probably in the minority but I think we should commemorate the tragic events at an old firm game at ibrox with celtic fans in the stadium. Yes, put measures in place to minimise any disruption that happens, but it is only a small amount of away fans in the corner nowadays anyway (and that's another discussion!). Man Utd/City managed to commemorate Munich's 50th anniversary and Liverpool/Everton similarly with Hillsborough, actually becoming more powerful and fitting, as a result. Those clubs all have plenty of beef, and bampots, but done correctly the majority can show that some things matter more than football and to do otherwise just feels like a bit of a zero sum game to me.

Tamus

Porteous - I wouldn't sign him because he's an absolute Jeremy Hunt. However if he signs for the mhankie mhob he will be terrific and I probably say, why didn't we sign him.
